“GET OUT!”
Kroc, Donkey Kong 64

Kroc[1][2] is a rare, unseen enemy who appears in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, and makes his second appearance in Donkey Kong 64. In both games, Krocs cannot be defeated and must be avoided by the Kongs.

History

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

Kroc only appears in one level of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Krack Shot Kroc, which even features his name in the title. The level features an aiming cursor, manned by Kroc, which follows Squitter the Spider (of whom Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong are transformed into) throughout a factory, and Kroc attempts to blast Squitter with large fireballs. Kroc's aim is mostly accurate, though it can be tricked into blasting various enemies in the level.

In the "Bash the Baddies!" Bonus Level of Krack Shot, the player can control Kroc's reticle and use it to blast several Re-Koils and Buzzes to beat the minigame.

Donkey Kong 64

In his second appearance in Donkey Kong 64, Kroc first appears in the five-door temple of Angry Aztec. When a Kong obtains the Golden Banana in their part of the temple, Kroc's cursor and a timer appears on-screen, and his menacing voice tells them to get out. The Kong must evacuate the temple within the limited time. If the Kong fails to leave it on time, Kroc blasts them and they lose all of their health.

Kroc later appears inside the cabins and lodges of Crystal Caves. If the Kong fails a timed mission within these locations, they are instantly blasted by Kroc. In Chunky Kong's case, he gets instantly blasted by Kroc if he is detected by the searchlights. The Kongs usually only have a second to exit the area, which is often not enough time for them to escape. Kroc makes an appearance in Creepy Castle's greenhouse.
