“Yet another Kremling Galleon has sunk here in Krem Quay. Once the port of Crocodile Isle (as if anyone would really want to visit), the place is now a swamp, crawling with rats and other vile vermin. Some of the underwater action here is particularly gloomy, so you'll need a friend with a light to show you the way.”
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest instruction booklet, page 21

Krem Quay is the third world of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, more specifically Crocodile Isle, and it takes place at a murky swamp. It does not directly reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2 as a standalone world, where it was combined with Crocodile Cauldron to form a single world, Krem Cauldron. The left half of Krem Cauldron consists of Krem Quay's stages.

Description

Being a swamp, a fraction of Krem Quay's levels take place in a swamp environment, with dirty swamp pits occupying a fraction of the stages, and a bramble field deep into the world. The main landmark of Krem Quay is a large shipwreck of a ship that originally belonged to King K. Rool.[1] The ship is broken in two halves, and each half appears on either side of the world map. The remaining levels take place on either half of the shipwreck.

Shortly after beating Kaptain K. Rool aboard The Flying Krock, he falls down from the world map, bouncing on Krem Quay's location, and then into the water where he gets chomped on by sharks. After completing the Lost World, Krem Quay, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle, sink down into the ocean.

In the Game Boy Advance port, Krem Quay appears on the leftmost side of the Crocodile Isle map rather than the rightmost side. In both versions, the Crocodile Isle map shows a series of stairs following after Krem Quay and leading to the next world, Krazy Kremland.

There is not much solid ground in the level, and Diddy and Dixie must jump from the cattails emerged from the swamp to go through the level. As the level's name suggests, the Kongs also use Krockheads as makeshift platforms for crossing the swamp pits. Zinger
