Knitty-Knotty Windmill Hill is the fifth level of Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. It features the first appearances of moving wool platforms in the form of windmills.

LayoutEdit

The level starts off next to a windmill, before an Egg Block and a windmill which needs its platforms filled in. After this are another two windmills which also needs platforms filled in, before leading to a Winged Cloud with a Spring Ball inside of it, which will allow the player to climb up a larger windmill, which leads to the next area.

The next area takes place in the sky, and the player will have to jump over clouds and windmills whilst avoiding Shy Guys and Gusties. Midway through this section is a Warp Pipe that needs to be filled in, which leads to an area where the player needs to sprout all of the flowers; upon doing this, they will be rewarded with beads and a piece of Wonder Wool. At the end of this section is a Warp Pipe. The next area is filled with windmills that need platforms filling in so the player can progress, and the end of this section is the Goal Ring.

CollectablesEdit

Smiley FlowersEdit

  • Smiley Flower #1: In the cave with three bows in the ground, the player should lick the third. This will reveal a small underground room with the first Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower #2: After jumping on the Spring Ball, the player should jump from the windmill over to a cloud on the left. This cloud leads the way to a second cloud which has the second Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower #3: The player will find two Warp Pipes with three clouds between them. When the player jumps down to the bottom cloud, it reveals a hidden Winged Cloud, but also makes two Gusties appear. The player must dodge the Gusties and pop the Winged Cloud to get the third Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower #4: Between two windmills, there is a small platform with a Piranha Plant. The player must defeat the Piranha Plant to reveal a bow. After licking the bow, it will fly away and attach to a hidden piece of land. Licking the bow again reveals the fourth Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower #5: On the last windmill, the player must throw yarn balls at all four platforms to reveal the final Smiley Flower in the center.

Wonder WoolsEdit

Moo Moo Yoshi
  • Wonder Wool #1: Between two windmills, there is a platform with an Egg Plant. If the player jumps from one windmill to the other, over this platform, they will find the first Wonder Wool.
  • Wonder Wool #2: After the Egg Block, the player will find two trees with bows. After licking the second, the bow will fly over to a section of land. If the player licks the bow for a second time, it reveals the second Wonder Wool.
  • Wonder Wool #3: The player will find a windmill after a blue Warp Pipe blocked by a platform. There will be a frame of a warp pipe to the left of the windmill. The player must throw a yarn ball at the frame to make a Warp Pipe, then go down it. Inside the secret room, the player will find six flowers. They should throw yarn balls at all six, then beads and the third Wonder Wool will appear.
  • Wonder Wool #4: In the middle of a windmill there is a Winged Cloud. The player should pop the Winged Cloud and the fourth Wonder Wool will appear.
  • Wonder Wool #5: The player must climb up a windmill next to a small cave, then jump onto a small hidden platform with a flipper and the fifth Wonder Wool at the top.

Collecting all five Wonder Wools in this level will unlock Moo Moo Yoshi.
