Hot-Foot-It into the Volcano is the fifth mission of Lethal Lava Land in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The mission involves climbing to the top of the inside of the volcano.

Layout

The player starts on the main course and has to cross platforms to get to the volcano in the center of the course. Once there, they have to jump inside and are brought to the lowest section of the volcano.

Once inside, the player has to take the path in front of them and follow the path to the ledges that ring around the volcano's walls. Continuing up, the player encounters several flamethrowers and Bullies as well as a hidden smasher, but it acts only when the player gets near it. Beyond that obstacle are several platforms the player has to jump across, and on one of the platforms is a Spinning Heart. Past the platforms are poles the player has to jump between followed by the Power Star at the top.
