This article is about the Mario Golf series course feature. For the almost similarly named course feature also in the Mario Golf series, see Tournament Green. For the Super Paper Mario character, see Green (Super Paper Mario).
A golf ball on the green.

The Green is a major part of the Mario Golf series. The Green of the course is where the Pin, Flag, and Hole are located. The Green is usually surrounded by a Fringe and further out by Fairway, Rough, or Bunkers. In order to complete the course, the player must get the golf ball in the hole; depending on the amount of strokes it takes to get the ball in the hole, can tell a person what score they will get. Golfers can only use putters to strike the ball while on the green. The location of the hole always changes on the green. In the Star Tournament, the Green is replaced with Tournament Green.
