Template:Minigame-infobox Goomba Spotting is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9. The gameplay here is similar to Roll Call from Mario Party 2. Like Goomba Village, it is a Goomba-counting minigame.

Introduction

Two Goombas run across the player's field of vision. The camera backs up and changes angle slightly.

Gameplay

Players try to count the number of Goombas as accurately as possible by pressing A Button for every Goomba they see. As Goombas run across the screen, they will sometimes be stacked on top of each other, similar to a Pokey. Buzzy Beetles might run across the screen, making it harder to count. It is important that only Goombas are counted. The player with the closest tally, or all players with the correct tally, wins.

Ending

All the Goombas are gathered in a field and jump one by one as they are counted, until all of them have been tallied.
