Template:Species-infobox Ganchan[1][2] are rock-like enemies from Super Mario Land that are found in the mountainous and spike-filled areas of the Easton Kingdom of Sarasaland. Ganchan is simply a large boulder that bounds around unceasingly. They can be used as convenient platforms to get across long stretches of spikes or to reach high areas out of reach, mostly in World 3-1. Hiyoihoi also uses Ganchan as projectile weapons in World 3-3. Ganchan are indestructible and should typically be avoided when not being used as platforms. Although Ganchan appear as generic boulders in the sprites, they are in fact living beings.
