Fish Upon a Star
Template:Minigame-infobox Fish Upon a Star is a 4-player minigame found in Mario Party 5. The name is derived from the saying "wish upon a star."
Introduction
The four players are standing on a circular floating platform, with Kleptos and Shy Guys in swordfish-shaped ships circling it. Five Cheep Cheeps fly into the air and land on the edges, causing them to crumble away into a star shape.
Gameplay
The objective is to avoid falling off the platform by dodging the opponents' punches and kicks, avoiding the falling Cheep Cheeps, and staying away from crumbling sections of the play field. The players can punch or stomp on their opponents to push them off the platform or slow them down, making them more vulnerable to the platform's hazards. Cheep Cheeps will randomly fall from the sky, often towards the edges of the current platform; any sections of the platform that the Cheep Cheeps land on will crumble and fall shortly after, shrinking the playfield over time. Cheep Cheeps come in small blue variants that destroy one block of land and in large red ones that remove several blocks of land on contact. Players hit by Cheep Cheeps are temporarily stunned and risk falling off as a result. The last standing player wins; if all players fall off the platform, the minigame instead ends in a draw.
Ending
The camera zooms in to give a frontal view of the winner, who performs their victory animation as two rainbows form in the background.
