“And together, we are known as...FEELIN' FUNGI!”
Feelin' Fungi, Paper Mario: The Origami King

Template:Character-infobox The Feelin' Fungi are a quartet of Toads in Paper Mario: The Origami King, supposedly starting out with their infamous dance routine. They are all found in Club Island, each in need of rescue. Each member of the group has a different emotion which is frequently shown in their facial expression and dialogue. They refer to themselves as Joy, Anger, Pathos and Humor, respectively. Joy appears to be the leader of the group, as he often speaks for the other members and is usually the one to confront Mario.

Joy is found crumpled up on the south end of Club Island, easy to rescue. However, even after he is rescued, he persuades Mario into leading him through the tall grass to the north, more relaxing end of the island. To avoid the enemies in the grass, Mario is able to simply walk in a straight, vertical line to the other end. Even when Joy is taken to the safe spot, he ropes Mario into finding his three other friends. Anger, Pathos and Humor are all stuck somewhere in the tall grass. This is made extra difficult by the enemies wandering in the grass, although it is much easier with use of the Toad Radar. There is a Snifit somewhere on the island offering to recharge the radar for 1,000 coins.

Anger, Pathos and Humor are found in the northeast, southwest, and northwest patches of the field, respectively. By combining the Toad Radar and the Lamination Suit, Mario is able to find the Toads and avoid the enemies with ease. When each Toad is lead out of the grass, it reveals a unique reaction to the Folded Soldiers. Pathos is nervous, Humor is amused, and Anger is enraged. If Mario encounters an enemy while leading a Toad, that Toad becomes an ally in battle, although it does not attack enemies unlike other allies.

After they are found, Feelin' Fungi remain on the Princess Peach for the rest of the game when the ship begins rescuing its stranded passangers.

Trivia

  • The Feelin' Fungi bear quite a resemblance to the Five Fun Guys from Paper Mario: Color Splash. Aside from one less member, they are all identical (aside from the facial expressions, they are even the same color), with different personalities and a dance routine.
