Falcon Punch is one of Captain Falcon's special moves in all Super Smash Bros. games. It is his neutral special move, performed by simply pressing B Button. While the move is original to Smash and did not originate in F-Zero, Captain Falcon's home series, it essentially became his signature move, to the point that it was occasionally mentioned and used in F-Zero media.

If the player uses this move, Captain Falcon will hold his arm back, charge it up, and then push forward, attacking with a powerful punch as he yells "FALCON... PUNCH!". However, if Captain Falcon is attacked during the charging process, the attack is automatically canceled. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Captain Falcon can turn around while charging the attack, which gives the attack more power. When Captain Falcon succeeds in the attack, the fire that appears around his hand takes on the shape of a falcon. The player can also hear a falcon squawk when doing this.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, this attack has two variations: the Falcon Dash Punch and the Mighty Falcon Punch. When using the Falcon Dash Punch, Captain Falcon dashes forward as he performs the punch, though it deals less damage and he is vulnerable before attacking. When using the Mighty Falcon Punch, the attack takes longer to charge up but is more powerful.

Ganondorf's Warlock Punch works the same way as Falcon Punch, but is much slower and more powerful, and protects Ganondorf from being launched in 3DS/Wii U. Kirby can also use this move if he uses Swallow on Captain Falcon; Kirby will even say "Falcon Punch" in his high-pitched voice when using the attack.
