Elevate for 8 Red Coins

Template:Missionbox Elevate for 8 Red Coins is the second mission of Hazy Maze Cave in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The mission involves collecting the eight Red Coins scattered throughout the elevator room.

Layout

From the start of the level, the player needs to take the path on the right and enter the door at the end. The player needs to use both lifts in the room to collect all eight of the Red Coins. Going up the steps to the right will lead the player to a lift that the player can control by stepping onto the arrows on the platform, and Wall Kicking or using the previous lift to reach a nearby pole leads to an automatic lift the player has to ride and dodge obstacles on. The lift located in the bottom level contains three Red Coins, two of which are located inside bricks, while the third is located on platform in the back left of the room. The remaining five Red Coins are available using the lift on the second level, which are either suspended in midair or on a platform. Once all eight Red Coins have been collected, the Power Star will appear above the Star Marker in the center of the room.
