Dry Bones Shellscape is an official course in Course World in Super Mario Maker 2. It is the eighteenth level of Ninji Speedruns, running from February 9, 2021 to February 16, 2021. It is set in the forest theme for its main area and in the ghost house theme for its sub area, as well as in the Super Mario Bros. 3 game style.
Layout
The level begins with a single Dry Bones Shell, which Mario must ride across water and stomp on two Big Boos. After two routes featuring Boo Buddies and a Stretch, Mario must pass a Swinging Claw to another Big Boo, a Flimsy Lift, and a tower of five Boos. Mario must then get across a Big Deep Cheep to collect the first Pink Coin and enter a Warp Pipe. In the next area, Mario must ride multiple Lakitu's Clouds to the top to reach the remaining three Pink Coins and some ON/OFF Switches to send him back down to the Key Door leading him to another Warp Pipe. Mario must then move past four Thwomps, then ride a Big Thwomp directly to the goal.
Description
"Hop into a Dry Bones Shell, and grab those Pink Coins! While riding in the shell, you can stomp on foes that are normally unstompable and also avoid enemies altogether by crouching to turn into an unremarkable pile of bones. Get creative, and find the fastest way to the finish!"
