Dream Discus is one of the Dream Events in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games for the Wii. It takes place in Windy Valley from Sonic Adventure. In London Party Mode, this event is used for the rival match against Jet the Hawk.

Gameplay

The event is a versus event, and is played holding the Wii Remote horizontally. The objective of the game is to fly around on a discus collecting rings to earn points; the player with the most by the end of the event wins. Item boxes placed on the course give the player who collects them five rings. Hitting an obstacle will temporarily cause the player to fall behind. Eventually, Spinners will begin to appear on the course. If the player hits them, they will be stunned. They can be defeated by ramming them during a boost, and doing so gives the player five points. Near the end of the course, a tornado will suck up the competitors, and they will fly out the top, free falling towards the goal. When they land, the players earn bonus points depending on the area they landed.

Rules

In this event, players ride a discus to collect rings to score the most points.
