Double Jump (consecutive)
The Double Jump (also called Continuous Jump in Super Mario 64[1]) is a move useable by every playable character in the Super Mario series since Super Mario 64, but the move is unavailable in Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World. To perform a Double Jump, the player presses the jump button just after landing from a prior Jump. The resulting Double Jump goes a bit higher than a normal Jump, so it can be used to reach higher ground. After landing from a Double Jump, jumping for a third time executes a Triple Jump.
In the three dimensional Super Mario games, Double Jumps are noticeably one of the few jumps the player can use while standing still. However, in the New Super Mario Bros. games, the user must be running at full speed in order to Double Jump.
Diddy Kong is able to perform this jump in Donkey Kong 64.
