The DK series is a small series in the Donkey Kong franchise. It features two games for Nintendo handhelds, the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS. Each game contains pegs for the player to climb. The two games are also classified as a puzzle game. This series was inspired by Clu Clu Land.

Installments

DK: King of Swing

DK: King of Swing is the first installment in the DK series. This game is for the Game Boy Advance and it was released in 2005. It starts out when King K. Rool steals the medals from the Jungle Jam Tournament. There is an adventure mode for the player to retrieve the medals. In the adventure mode, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are the only playable characters. There is also a Jungle Jam Tournament mode. In this mode, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Wrinkly Kong, Kremling and more characters are playable. A Time Attack Mode is also available after beating the game as Donkey Kong.

DK: Jungle Climber

DK: Jungle Climber is the second and latest installment in the DK series. It is for the Nintendo DS and it was released in 2007. There is an adventure mode, where King K. Rool steals the Crystal Bananas. There is also a minigame mode that features seven games. Donkey Kong and Diddy are playable in the adventure mode. A few enemies from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest reappear. Some of these enemies are Flitters, Puftups, and Shuris.
