Crash Kongs[1] are monkey robots that appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, being introduced in Room 3-6 of Pipe Works. Crash Kongs appear as small cymbal-banging monkey toys with a wind-up key. They walk back and forth, stopping briefly upon reaching an edge. If a Crash Kong sees a Mini, it attempts to ram the Mini into a wall to crush it. A Mini can jump on a Crash Kong to stand on it, preventing the Mini from being crushed and allowing the Crash Kong to carry the Mini across hazards such as spikes. While on a Crash Kong, a Mini can jump again to reach a Warp Pipe from below. Crash Kongs can be temporarily stunned using hammers or a Fire Flower.

In the Construction Zone, Crash Kongs can be used in the Pipe Works construction kit, Special Kit 1, Special Kit 2, and Special Kit 3.
