The Clerk is a high-ranking member of the Smithy Gang and the weakest supervisor of the assembly lines of Smithy's Factory in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. He has the lowest rank of the management staff, as he is below the Manager, the Director, the Factory Chief, and Smithy himself. The Clerk is in charge of the production schedules of the Factory. During battle, the Clerk wields a large axe that resembles Blade. He also has four Mad Mallet guards for protection.
