It's a Chomp. You've heard about Chomps before, I'm sure. Max HP: 4, Attack Power: 3, Defense Power: 3 They're made of such hard stuff that most of your attacks won't even faze them. I heard a rumor that the Chomps are a little peeved at Tutankoopa because he works them so hard.

Chompy[1], also simply referred to as Chomp, is one of Tutankoopa's Chomps and is the first one to rebel against him and subsequently chase him. At the end of Paper Mario, Chompy, along with two other Chomps, finally catch Tutankoopa. It is unknown if Chompy is really Chompy's name or if it is simply a nickname given to it by Tutankoopa. Chompy is the only Chomp in Paper Mario that can be battled. Chompy is impervious to fire attacks.

"The terror of the Dry Dry Ruins tomb is a Koopa with a king complex and a particularly nasty pet Chomp. Tutankoopa attacks with magic and by tossing Buzzy Beetles. He also calls on Chompy. Hit the Koopa with Parakarry’s Shell Shot and deal with the Chomp by whacking it with the Super Hammer."
