Template:Minigame-infobox Cheep Cheep Shot is a boss minigame in Mario Party 9. The name is a pun on the term "cheap shot".

Introduction

The players will dive into the ocean. Cheep Cheep then swims around for a second before coming up in front of them.

Gameplay

The players must damage Cheep Cheep by grabbing the Green Shells that are inside bubbles and tossing them at him, which earns the players three points. Players must also avoid the Cheep Cheep when he charges at the part of the screen they are on at that point. When Cheep Cheep loses half of his health, he becomes enraged, speeding up his tackling attack. He also flies out of the water and dives back in, spiraling down.

Ending

When Cheep Cheep is defeated, he simply tilts his back in pain before exploding and revealing Mini Stars.
