Cheep-Cheep Island is the third course of the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It features a series of islands surrounded by the sea with crabs wandering in the beach. It is similar to Shy Guy Beach (shares the same music), but it takes place at sunset and has more grass. Large Cheep-Cheeps are seen jumping in the background and Goonies appear sitting on the course.

Course layout

The course starts out by going straight over a bridge that leads to a left turn with grass on each side. The turn leads into another bridge that slightly curves to the right, then left. Past the bridge is a split path with coins on each side and grass in the middle, which leads to another bridge. After that, there is a turn to the left and two more split paths. The player can take the left side which has Dash Panels, or the right side which has more coins. There is another bridge with a left turn. Past that is another bridge with another left turn. After another bridge, there is a right turn with a small bump. After that is another right turn to the final and longest bridge. Players should be careful to not fall into the water. The bridge splits in two for a bit then turns left, then left again. After that is a straightaway to the finish line.

Shortcuts

After the fifth bridge, if the player veers to the right and uses a mushroom, they will hit a series of jumps that will cut a lot of time. There is a similar shortcut to the left of the final bridge, but it is not as useful.
