The Game & Watch series, one of Nintendo's oldest video game franchises, is loosely connected to the Mario series via various means. Many Game & Watch entries are also Mario-themed, such as with the Game & Watch Gallery games; furthermore, the original character Mr. Game & Watch appears alongside Mario characters in the Super Smash Bros. series and makes various appearances in the expanded Mario universe. The subcategory contains the original Game & Watch titles.
