Description
"Looses a giant flame on impact, burning most foes. Does not hit or affect all foes."
First appearance Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)

The Blazehammer, originally known as the Burnhammer, is a type of hammer that appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Color Splash. It is a fire-based hammer attack that serves as a counterpart to the Chillhammer. In Paper Mario: The Origami King, a similar hammer called the Fire Hammer appears instead.

HistoryEdit

Paper Mario: Sticker StarEdit

“A hammer whose tepid flames can fry small fry. If your timing's off, though, you won't produce any flames.”
Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Burnhammers debut in Paper Mario: Sticker Star as extremely common stickers. When used, Mario smashes the hammer onto his target, sending flames on it and the enemies behind it. They hit ground and low altitude enemies and have a one-star attack rating. Being a fire attack, it deals twice as much damage to ice enemies such as Ice Bros and the Bowser Snow Statue. A Fire Flower or Burnhammer must be used to melt the ice cream cone-shaped snow mound in Snow Rise.

Burnhammers are sold in Decalburg for twenty coins each and can be dropped by Shy Guys after battle. When upgrading them, they can be transformed into Fire Flowers, Baahammers, or Chillhammers.

Stronger variants are the Big Shiny Burnhammer and Megaflash Burnhammer. In the Sticker Museum, its number is #52.

Paper Mario: Color SplashEdit

“Looses a giant flame on impact, burning all enemies if executed well.”
In-game description, Paper Mario: Color Splash

Blazehammers return in Paper Mario: Color Splash under their current name. They can be found commonly in areas such as Daffodil Peak and Mossrock Theater. A Blazehammer requires mainly red paint to fill in.
