Template:Character-infobox Boomer is a construction hat-wearing bear with a love of explosives; he is also a member of the Brothers Bear family.

Before the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Boomer was seemingly exiled to Krematoa by the rest of the Brothers Bear, who found Boomer's love of explosives annoying and dangerous to them and everyone else. Once he arrived in Krematoa, Boomer, taking his explosives with him, created a home for himself in his own bomb shelter which is called Boomer's Bomb Shelter.

If Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong manage to raise Krematoa from the sea, they can visit Boomer and, for a price of fifteen Bonus Coins, have him use some munitions to blow up the rocks blocking their path to the levels of Krematoa. Dixie and Kiddy can also give Boomer the various Cogs they receive at the end of Krematoa's levels; once Boomer receives a Cog, he can put it into a machine that he claims to have found after moving to Krematoa.

To access the first four levels of Krematoa, the Kongs have to pay Boomer fifteen Bonus Coins for each level. However, they have to pay twenty-five Bonus Coins to gain access to the final level, Rocket Rush.

Once all five levels of Krematoa are beaten and all five Cogs in Krematoa are given to Boomer, he puts them all in his machine, which reactivates the dormant volcano in Krematoa and raises Baron K. Roolenstein's Knautilus submarine. If the Kongs see him again, Boomer has a fan in his possession due to the sudden temperature increase caused by the volcano's reactivation.

Trivia

  • In the Super Nintendo version of the game, Boomer will always force the Kongs to buy as many specials that they can currently afford should they agree to pay for his services. In the Game Boy Advance version, he'll only offer to open up the next level once the current one is cleared.
    • On that note, if the player attempts to get him to unlock the next level while not having the necessary amount of bonus coins, he will tell Dixie and Kiddy off, and claim that someone tried it before, to which he implies that he sent that someone into space.
  • In the SNES version, if the player enters the cheat code "WATER" to automatically collect every Bonus Coin in the game and goes to Boomer, he will be surprised that the Kongs already have all the Bonus Coins.[1]
  • After completing Rocket Rush and raising the Knautilus, if the player re-enters Boomer's Bomb Shelter, they will find him standing behind a fan, which he claims to have puchased from Bazaar.
