Bob-omb Car
A Bomb-CarTemplate:Refneeded (sometimes called a Bob-omb CarTemplate:Refneeded) is a dangerous obstacle found in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart Wii. It is found in only three courses: Mushroom Bridge, Mushroom City, and Moonview Highway. This class of Car is found driving only on the main streets however, not on shortcuts like the rest of the vehicles.
Bomb-Cars have also appeared in the Mario Kart Wii competitions. The competitions that they appeared in included September 2008 and May 2009's first competitions.
The effects of hitting a Bomb-Car has the same effect as getting blown up by either a Bob-omb or a Spiny Shell. Hitting the car with an item such as a Yoshi Egg, Green Shell, Red Shell, Bowser Shell, or Fireballs will also cause the bomb car to explode. Despite having a lit fuse, a Bomb-Car never explodes on its own.
Once a Bomb-Car explodes, a new one appears after some seconds on the road. In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, they appeared from certain hidden passages of every racecourse, while in Mario Kart Wii, they just appeared from nowhere. On the Mushroom Bridge pipe shortcut, the Bomb-Car will come out of the entrance, when someone hits one of the existing bombs. In Mushroom City, the Bomb-Car comes out of the alleyway on the left when you go down the hill and onto the left when someone hits one of the existing bombs.
Similar to the Bomb-Car is the Mini Bomb Kart, which appears in Mario Kart 64.
