The Bolshoi Ballet Tutu is an item in the DOS and Deluxe releases of Mario is Missing! (instead of the Bolshoi Ballet Slipper in the NES and SNES versions). It is a part of the outfit worn by the Bolshoi Ballet troupe. When a group of Koopa Troopas infiltrate Moscow, they steal the Tutu from the Bolshoi Theater, causing it to be shut down. One of the Koopa Troopas then walks around with the Tutu until Luigi comes across it and takes it back. He then shows it to random people throughout the city in the hopes that one of them recognizes it, and all of them point him in the direction of the Bolshoi Theater while also providing additional information, such as how Bolshoi Ballet was founded in 1776. Luigi eventually does bring it to the information booth of the Bolshoi Theater, and he is rewarded with $1500.

Information

  • Boy: "The ballerinas cannot rest 'till you give them that so they can dress."
  • Tourist: "Here's a ticket to the Bolshoi Theater. It's silly but return that before the ballerinas get "tutu" chilly."
  • Business Woman: "The Bolshoi Theater sells out every show. If you put that on you could dance there too."
  • Scientist: "The Bolshoi Ballet was founded in 1776. The Bolshoi ballerinas usually wear that over their leotards."
  • Policewoman: "Leapin' leotards! That tutu is missing from the Bolshoi Ballet. Hope you make curtain time."
