Template:Minigame-infobox Bob-ombs Away is a 1-vs.-3 minigame playable in Mario Party 8.

Introduction

A player on the ledge at the top drops a Bob-omb onto the pegs. The Bob-omb collides with each of pegs and falls in front of the solo player, exploding and surprising them. The player moves back to their position, and the minigame starts.

Gameplay

The three players on top of the wall attempt to hit the solo player with Bob-ombs, while the solo player must avoid getting caught in the Bob-ombs' explosions. Because of the pegs on the wall that bump the Bob-ombs in different directions, the team and solo player must analyze it more closely to predict where they will fall. On occasion, if two Bob-ombs are thrown at once and fall down the same gap, they may end up stuck. If the solo player survives for thirty seconds, they win; otherwise, the three players win.

Ending

Wario loses in Bob-ombs Away from Mario Party 8
Results of the minigame.

If the solo player is blown up, the three players do a winning pose; the solo player sits on a platform, appearing dizzy. If the solo player survives, the Bob-ombs that the three players are holding explode in their hands and they're blown to the ground as the single player does a winning pose.
