Block Star is a bonus minigame found in WarioWare: Smooth Moves. It is unlocked after clearing Young Cricket & Master Mantis's stage in story mode. The game is an expansion of the microgame Block Party, featuring altered textures, new blocks and 50 levels of additional challenges.

GameplayEdit

The minigame plays exactly like Block Party. The player must maneuver the Wii Remote to catch blocks of different shapes and sizes as they descend from the top of the screen to create a balanced structure.

Between 4 and 10 blocks may appear in one stage. They fall one at time, and the balance of the structure is determined by the position of the Wii remote when each block lands on the platform. Similar to Tetris, a preview area is given which shows the next four blocks in advance as well as their rotation.

A counter at the side indicates the amount of blocks in the stage, as well as the amount of blocks the game has recognized as being on the structure. After all blocks have been caught, the player must maintain the structure's balance for 3 seconds in order to complete the stage. If a block touches the bottom of the screen, the game is lost.

StagesEdit

Initially, a set of 10 stages is available. These stages can be completed in no set order, however all of them must be completed to unlock the next set of stages. A completed stage is indicated by a green border and icon, whereas an incomplete stage has a red border. There are 50 stages in total.
