Big Shoes Gustin' in the Desert is an official course in Course World in Super Mario Maker 2. It is the eleventh level of Ninji Speedruns, running from August 25, 2020 to September 1, 2020. It is set in the desert theme and the Super Mario Bros. 3 game style.

Layout[edit]

The level begins with a Warp Pipe spawning Big Shoe Goombas. Mario must enter one and immediately ground pound to defeat a Big Muncher and two smaller Munchers. After a tower of four Big Munchers, Mario will encounter a big winged Muncher that takes him to an area above. After a segment with three Wigglers and a big winged Wiggler, Mario must ground pound a stack of seven Big Munchers to get a winged Big Shoe. Afterwards, Mario must move further right to ascend to a Seesaw with more Big Munchers, which must be taken out. Following this is a segment with a Big Wiggler stacked atop a big Stiletto Goomba, along with another stack of Big Munchers. A Big Thwomp above two Big Munchers follows, along with some Goombrats shielded by normal-sized Munchers. A drop then appears, leading to two POW Blocks to defeat six Big Munchers and, in turn, clear the path to the goal.

Description[edit]

"Nab a Big Shoe Goomba's big shoe and get steppin'! If you ground-pound while wearing a big shoe, you can blow away enemies that normally can't be defeated and even topple multiple foes at once. Flaunt your favorite footwear, and find the fastest way to the finish!"
