- I know that the page probably shouldn't be here if it's just an tangential tournament, but this is physical media, it involves official modified cartridges of two Mario games. Maybe the content can be cut down and be merged to the respective pages of Super Mario Bros 2 Lost Levels and Super Mario Kart, but I think the article isn't too off-topic from Mario.

Incorrect info[edit]
This page is actually incorrect in much of the information given. The Nintendo Powerfest is a tour that Nintendo ran in 1990 and again in 1994 to show off the newest games and devices used on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, and then the Super Nintendo in 1994. The Nintendo World Championships was a tournament Nintendo hosted at the Powerfest, to encourage kids to come to the tour, so the parents would see what was coming.
The Nintendo World Championships II was simply the Nintendo World Championships hosted at the 1994 Nintendo Powerfest.
For sources, I was a finalist and still have all of my paperwork which shows the correct naming, and flyers and pamphlets I own from 90 and 94 confirm this as well.
