Because its an abbreviation-Pal101

Morton Koopa Sr.[edit]

Do you think we should make an article on this implied character-Pal101

Its never been said if theres a Morton Koopa Sr., ever. So I would guess not. -- Sir Grodus

Of course not. Bowser is Morton's father, I haven't even heard of Morton Sr..
I am Confused 12:21, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Yeah I guess he is more of a fannon character.-Pal101

Maybe we should make an article on fannon elements then we could include him-Pal101

No, fanon is here after you click the pic--->Tadaa!2.gifPlumberTadaaa!.gif

Try either UnMarioWiki or MarioWiki Theories:

A better place would be Fantendo Wikia. -- Son of Suns

On other sites it states that Morton Sr. does exist. here's a picture of him: [3] (Note: this is not copyrighting. If you think it is, please let me know) Unused animation of Lemmy Koopa in Super Princess Peach User:Lemmy Koopa Fan Unused animation of Lemmy Koopa in Super Princess Peach

I think there isn't any Morton Koopa Sr., since Bowser is his father...

Question[edit]

If Bowser is his father then why is his name Morton Koopa Jr.?--Inuyasha Zero 15:23, 5 August 2008 (EDT)

Check the name controversity section of the article. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:58, 5 August 2008 (EDT)

Maybe Morton Jr. and the rest of them have (or had) a grandfather or great grandfather or great-great grandfather etc. named "Morton"? This is just my guess, but it could be true, maybe. - J-Yoshi64 (talk)

About the Top Image...[edit]

Could somone tell me why the star-shaped mark is on Morton's right-head side??? i could think that the image is mirrored since the mark is supposed to be to the Left, so... what to do???
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Castle Toad (talk).

It's not only mirrored, but it's also miss-angled. I've seen the correct version of that picture, so someone must have been goofing around.

NSMBWii image = fanmade[edit]

Morton's right foot is shopped in. You can see on the American website that his foot doesn't look like that. NMRodo 23:51, 10 November 2009 (EST)

You're right. It looks pretty choppy... Lemmy Koopa Fan (talk)

What is this?[edit]

Hello, I'm new here and found this strange confusion. Read the bold words.

Morton Koopa Jr. (also known as Big Mouth Koopa Jr.)is one of Bowser's eight children and is the sixth oldest Koopaling. Although he is the largest of the koopalings, Morton doesn't appear to be as powerful as some of his other large brothers, like Ludwig or Roy. This may just be due to the fact that he is one of the younger Koopalings, and needs to grow some more. However, despite of his age, Morton is currently taller than all the other Koopalings.

I didn't understand: he is the sixth oldest Koopalings or he is one of the younger Koopalings? I don't know who have made or edited this article, and I don't know if Morton is one of the older or one of the younger Koopalings, so, please, who wrote this, edit it again...
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pedrocolou64 (talk).

The paragraph makes perfect sense; he is the 6th oldest of only 8, which means he's the 3rd youngest. I can see how it could be confusing though, perhaps "3rd youngest" instead of "6th oldest" would be more appropriate here, though they mean the same thing.--vellidragon 14:57, 9 January 2010 (EST)
Well, let's change it in order to avoid more confusion then. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

Good, perfect change BabyLuigi, but I discovered more confusion: If you search for Koopalings, you'll find the description of Morton Koopa Jr. Here it is: "Morton Koopa Jr. is the second youngest of the Koopalings despite his size. He seems possess a cantankerous personality. He is also the only Kooplaing to have a different skin tone rather than the yellow tone the other's have. The Jr. following his name has sparked some controversy; this is due to the specific connection not being confirmed. His main color representation is brown. Morton was known as Big Mouth Koopa Jr. in the cartoons."

So, I think he is the second youngest, cause not only in this description, but in Super Mario World he is the second boss, on Donut Island. And in Super Mario Bros. 3 too.--Pedrocolou64 21:10, 13 January 2010 (EST)

It says "Second Youngest" on the Koopalings page because it's starting the counting from Larry rather than Bowser Jr., who is apparently included in the Koopaling's head count in Morton's page (and the other Koopaling pages). Bowser Jr. included, Morton is the third youngest. Perhaps we should streamline the pages and make sure the inter-page info is consistent? Dan Genesis 00:49, 31 March 2010 (EDT)

Morton Koopa Jr.= Paul "Starchild" Stanley[edit]

are im the only one who think Morton Jr.'s design is based on Paul "the Starchild" Stanleyhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Stanley ? --Kamek33 (talk) 16:48, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Morton Koopa (Jr.)[edit]

I played Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, yesterday and they talk about the Koopalings origin. They say Morton Koopa, not Morton Koopa Jr., do they change his name, because of the confusion of the "Jr."? I look if they put "von" and "O." and they put it to Ludwig and Wendy. What are your opinion about it or it is a mistake?--LudwigVon Sig.png(TALK) 13:56, 26 August 2015 (EDT)

Nevermind, I check and Palutena's guidance and she say Morton Koopa Jr.--LudwigVon Sig.png(TALK) 13:58, 26 August 2015 (EDT)

KISS?[edit]

It seems that the musician theming has carried into Morton's design, as the white face and the dark marking over the eye seem to be a clear reference. Worth mentioning? 8BrickMario (talk) 10:02, 4 December 2015 (EST)

The 30th anniversary books' bios of Morton Koopa Jr.[edit]

It's the turn of Morton now! Here are his bios from the 30th anniversay books, where he's know as 「モートン」.

One of the Koopalings. The only one whose body color is brown, has a star-shaped mark drawn around his left eye.

Of course, as with all other cases, these translations are made through the help of online transaltors, so their revision is needed. It's interesting to note, anyway, thast the Encyclopedia confirms that he's the biggest Koopaling and that the Memorial Book confirms that the star-shaped mark is effectively drawn, in case someone was wondering.--Mister Wu (talk) 10:25, 15 April 2016 (EDT)

David Cooke claims he voiced Morton Koopa Jr. in Mario Kart 8[edit]

I noticed, in a Youtube video of Morton's voice clips, that David Cooke claimed that he voiced Morton Koopa Jr.. Indeed, this site confirms it. Can we consider this claim a valid one?--Mister Wu (talk) 08:42, 9 June 2016 (EDT)

It's done! Added him to the MK8 staff page! AfternoonLight (talk) 09:05, 9 June 2016 (EDT)

Hanging onto Bowser's tail[edit]

Technically only Lemmy was hanging onto Bowser's tail in New Super Mario Bros. U. Wendy held onto Lemmy's tail, Larry held onto Wendy's tail, Iggy held onto Larry's tail, Ludwig held onto Iggy's tail, Roy held onto Ludwig's tail, and Morton held onto Roy's tail. (No one holds onto Morton's tail) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 21:05, 1 January 2017 (EST)

Should we change the quote to something post-Color Splash?[edit]

With Morton's personality being changed starting with Paper Mario: Color Splash, shouldn't we change the quote to something more recent? A line from Minion Quest or Bowser Jr.'s Journey? I propose either "MORTON STRONG LIKE WALL ... BUT EVEN WALL FALL DOWN SOMETIME" or even simply "BAD MARIO FIND PAIN STAR! BUT MORTON FIND IT MORE! MORE MORTON'S! MORE TONS! MORTON CRUSH MARIO!" Something like that would really help the article. - THIS PREVIOUSLY UNSIGNED COMMENT WAS ADDED BY AWDRYFAN1997 MY BAD
