Look, I know this is for the forums, but this course resembles an iconic Dutch village because MK7 and SM3DL are the first two Mario games to be translated to Dutch (which is a huge event), I think the "Daisy Hills" name was chosen due to having the daisies all over the course. Mirai Moon
- Dutch eh? It does have flowers and windmills. But Daisy Hill is (as the name tells) a hill. Hilly landscapes are very rare in the Netherlands. On top of that, the houses look more like German houses. I think Daisy Hills is a mixture of the Netherlands and Germany.
- I think the Nintendo division in Japan does not decide in which languages a game gets translated. I think Nintendo Europe does that. When Nintendo Japan made this course, they probably didn't knew the game would get translated to Dutch.
- And the Daisy in the course name really stands for Princess Daisy.

- I believe you got mountains and hills mixed up there. Hills are actually one of the iconic Dutch landmarks, just like Windmills and flowers. Mountains however are rare here. In Dutch, this track is called "Daisy's Mountain Village". Including goats and all. Dark Gamer 10:28, 11 December 2011 (EST)
- In the Northern and Western parts of the Netherlands, there are no hills. Sometimes the land is even below sea level. There are a lot of lakes in these parts. However, in the Southern and Eastern parts of the country, the land is more hilly, but there aren't as many lakes. Real mountains do not exist in the Netherlands, especially not mountains with snow on top of them (as you can see in the background of the course). However, this racecourse is a stereotyping of the Netherlands. There also aren't as many flowers and windmills as people think there are, but it doesn't matter. It's just the typical image the Netherlands has. But the houses, the mountains and the Goats in this course, fit better in the German image than the Dutch image. rend (talk) (edits)

In Brazilian, the course name is Colinas da Daisy (Daisy Hills). Da Daisy refers to be owned by some "Daisy" and so it's a Daisy course.

- I realize this is an old topic, but considering Princess Daisy's connection to the course, does that mean Daisy Hills is in Sarasaland (since that is her homeland)? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 20:32, 30 July 2018 (EDT)
