The Witch[1] appears as a boss in the world of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins called Pumpkin Zone. The witch battles out with Mario in her kitchen where she teleports around the room and casts fire bolts with her wand. Some of these fire bolts fall down under the pots that stands in the middle of her kitchen and boils them so much that the lids on them fly high up in the air. If Mario stands on these pots they will propel him into the spikes above. He should jump on her head or fire his own fireballs at her. Three jumps or six fireballs will defeat her.

A smaller witch enemy (known as Keibu[2]) that resembles her also appears in a certain stage, where she snatches 1 UP Hearts from ? Blocks and runs away from them, attempting to keep Mario from retrieving them. If Mario manages to catch up to and defeat the witch, though, she will reward him with the missing heart. The witch also appears as a "nothing" icon in the slot machine game of the optional casino area.

She reappears in the Mario vs. Wario comic. She starts by saying "You won't get away for me, my pretty!" (a reference to The Wizard of Oz) and launches fire balls at Mario. He ducks the flames and they hit a bird, who was in the nearby bush. She then launches her lids at Mario. He then jumps over the lids and lands on them, getting them stuck to his shoes but also allowing him to walk on water. He walks across a lake and "thanks" the witch for her "help".

The witch has also appeared in volume 8 of Super Mario-Kun. She transforms Mario into a pig. She can also collide two flying pot lids to harm Mario and his friends. Despite this, with the help of a Boo, Mario uses her wand to transform her into a fish.
