Recent Edits to Princess Daisy

First of all, at this wiki, we prefer to always italicize game titles, and link them the first time mentioned in each article. In addition, some of your sentences are either too short, too long, or don't make much sense.

In Double Dash there was also something highly noticed. It was Daisy's memorable quote "Hi I'm Daisy". It's speculated that many haters of this quote aren't even annoyed by it but are just simply reminded of it so much that they dislike it.

It's speculated...what? Doesn't make much sense, and I'm not even sure if the quote is important enough to be in the article.

Early videos of MP8 for the Wii show every character from MP7 and it's been confirmed that Blooper and Hammer Bro. are the secret characters but the game is still in early design so no one knows what will be changed about the characters before release.

In Mario Party 3 Daisy served the same purpose as in Tennis except her tomboyish side shined much larger when she sent Bowser soaring with one mighty punch.

In the MP series, whatever happens is mostly based on gameplay, so not necessarily does Daisy's tomboyish side "shine much larger".

3. What I mean is; can you put a very brief description of what she does in these minor games? Don't go into super detail. We just need to know her function (does she save the game, does she give hints, does she caddy for Luigi, etc.) 4. The Super Mario Wiki is a pseudo-formal encyclopedia. The use of the second-person, such as "you" and "your", is seen as very poor writing. Instead of writing "you", you should write Princess Daisy (if the article talks about what Daisy is doing, even if the player is controlling her, as you are not in the game itself) or "the player(s)", if the article is describing something the person playing the game specifically has to do (like press the "A" button). 5. Either move items regarding what I listed to the appropriate section or delete it from the article if it is already mentioned in that section. There is some overlap that needs to be trimmed. 6. The problem is "bribed" does not necesarrily mean "seductive". Wario can bribe characters with a lot of cash, but he's not seductive because of that. What did Daisy do that was seductive? Did she wink at him, flirt with him, give him a kiss, lift up her dress and show off her toned legs? Where is the seduction in the bribe? 7. Physical Appearance and Traits is what Daisy looks like, what she wears, traits about her that aren't powers, abilities, or personality. This doesn't have to be too long (check out the Yoshi article). A lot of this is in the appearance section I believe. 10. I goofed on that last one. The article should have in-universe video game info first (such as Biography, Personality, Powers and Abilities, etc.) then move to out-of-universe video game info, such as appearance development, as well as other minor video game info, then move to depictions in other media at the very end.

Some problems with this:

1. The game hasn't been released yet. Therefore, there are no bios from the game. By the way, biographies may be considered copyrighted work, meaning that you must receive permission from Nintendo to post them. There's nothing wrong with minor quotes, but it shouldn't replace our own writing.
2. I'm not sure what you mean by media appearances. The videos on this page are some of the videos we got the information from you can see Princess Peach's entrance and such there, for example.
3. All of our information is from videos, screenshots, and reliable news sources.
4. Yes, there is speculation on this page, but that is typical of an upcoming game article. We have made sure that readers know what is speculation and what is not. If you have any problems with speculation on this page, please edit (not delete) accordingly or post your concernin the talk page first before simply deleting info that Coincollector, myself, and other users have been working on for weeks. It's very sad to see something you spent time on get destroyed, but it's great when you see that someone has validated your writing by editing it. As Wayoshi (he's second-in-command around here) commented, our speculation is fine.
5. It appears that the speculation that was in the character section prior to your edits has been validated by recent news. While I will still be sure to say what is speculation and what is not in the section until I read the article, there is no reason to delete information/speculation until it has been proven false.

Mario Strikers Charged

(Notes: There are 2 entrance types, dont put down mega strike info until name is provided, daisy has two uniforms, bios are for character pages not this page.)

Okay, here's my rundown of your recent edit:

• I have not seen a character have two entrances. If you have, please link a video or something (because it'd be cool to see). I know Peach walks in while Mario and DK drop in, but that's not significant evidence to say that there are two entrances per character. So you probably have other evidence... so I want to know about it!
• Same thing for Daisy's two uniforms... please give a link!
• Thank you for addressing the bios. I was second guessing myself while making them in regards to the same issue. Still, I don't know why you deleted even the information regarding their play styles. I'll recheck my source (the UK website) and get back to them.
• Why do we have to wait for names with the Mega Strikes before we tell people what they look like? Look around the Wiki--there are plenty of articles about topics from upcoming games that do not have official names yet, but likely will as time passes. So, why should we neglect our readers of that?
• Why did you downgrade the uniform details? Are we referring to the team uniform and not each character's personal uniform? If that's the case, maybe I'll find a screenshot of each character to go with each bio (the Mega Strikes blur the characters and don't show the whole uniform)
• One last minor thing, "Signature L symbol with electric flowing around it" You reverted/wrote this in the article. Electric is an adjective, and electricity is a noun, so I think electricity would fit better here. Or you could say lightning bults or electric bursts or whatever. It's not a big thing at all.

I'll leave the Character section alone for a while, but please address my issues! ...gah... must not touch the character section... gah... Yeah... maybe I will edit it... who knows.

P.S. As a general rule, I find it better to replace rather than delete. This Wiki is about the small details as you know, so it not a good idea to remove information without providing updated info. I know you care about the article and have helped out a lot (remember the Wi-Fi and Mega Strikes?), but you make it hard to work on the article when you're so quick to delete stuff.

Dang, are you thorough! Glad to have you working on this article! I haven't checked out the opening FMP (I think that's what it's called) yet, because I like to save those for when I actually have the game... so thanks for getting the stills! If it's like that in the opening movie, I'll bet that it's that way in the final game. After all, we haven't seen her in action yet expect for those screens you showed me. Maybe her artwork is wrong?

So, the ground/air entrance thing: I hope you'll forgive me for that. I can't believe I missed it. It seems like the air entrance is a retort entrance to the ground entrance. Like, one player does the ground entrance, and then the other player does an air entrance. A neat little tidbit that supports that every character has an air entrance is that the sidekicks can be seen in both videos pointing towards their incoming captain.

I like having character information on the game pages because it means I can compare the playable characters and not have to check out each of their pages and find the right section to find out the info. And, you'll see that I updated the bios to reflect only information regarding the game... with a little info on their personalities. I justify that because their personalities vary from game to game.

I think that covers just about everything. You rock the house, by the way. I hope to finish the "Second Stumpification" later this week. Maybe it'll have to wait till the weekend, though. Regardless, thanks for all your help and the clarification! --Stumpers

I've found a pic of Daisy in Mario tennis 64 watching a tournament. There is also a rumor about Daisy could appear for Mario & Sonic at the olimpic games because there are some orange flags with teal and yellow flowers in the audience. this is a possible clue that Daisy would appear in this game who know.

The Cream and Blaze artwork you uploaded were from Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) respectively. Those games are not Mario-related at all, thus, the Images are not Mario-related. Is it safe to say you are a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan? You seem REALLY determined to make the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games article perfect. I'm just wondering, because I am also INCREDIBLY interested in Mario & Sonic. My Bloody Valentine

Wow, me too! Sonic is awesome, and Sonic and Mario in a game with each other is definetely worth getting. Hope he's in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well. :P My Bloody Valentine Additionally, Princess Daisy is in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games! And she was confirmed alongside Blaze the Cat, just like I suspected. Weird. :P

Whoa, I feel the exact same way! They say the game will be bad because recent Sonic games are not as good as they used to be (Although, most Nintendo based Sonic games have gotten REALLY good reviews, so I think it it just the Non-Nintendo Sonic games. :P). Plus, they think that Mario and Sonic being together in the Olympics is bad. I prefer not to judge until I have played the game, I just wish everyone else was like that. Also, this may seem like an odd question, but, if you were to choose one Mario character and one Sonic character to be in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, exluding the ones already confirmed, who would they be? My Bloody Valentine I agree, Daisy was obvious from the start. Shadow was equally obvious. :P

Hey, Fixitup! I noticed you voted on the proposal regarding the headers. I thought that your example was a good one, but I also thought that it would have been acceptable under the "new standards" that Cobold is trying to get put up. Seriously, if it's just game titles that we'd be aloud to put in, I'm erasing my name from the "yes" list immeadiately! Please respond before the vote goes through! Okay. You wrote that you were against the proposal because it wouldn't allow us to create section headers such as "Attack on Mario Land" for Mario Party 2 (this being just an example). I supported the proposal because I thought that Cobold only meant we shouldn't make headers such as "Super Slick Sliding through Sarasaland" or something for Super Mario Land. I felt that the proposer said we could label by the game or label by event. I thought that the only issue was with headings that, while creative, aren't specific enough. (A real example being "Daisy DS" in the Daisy article. It's in regards to Mario Kart DS, but it looks like an adventure game title or something like that.) Anyway, so could you clarify? I know you've already been told constantly about this, but no matter how many times you've been told, you have never tried to fix your anger and harshness in your edit summaries. I am actually the best person to you this. Check my archives, and you'll see I got in BIG trouble over my anger, harshness and sarcasm via edit summary. So, I'll say it one more time. Please stop your harshness towards other Users. Your obsession over an article being the best it can be does not justify your words to other Users. If you continue on this path, and keep on ignoring these reminders, you will, undoubtedly, be blocked for a period of time. Don't continue on the same road I once walked, it will get you nowhere. Do you have the game yet? I do, and it is awesome! =D Just wanted to tell you this, so you don't go wasting your money. ;) BTW, sorry about the false accusation the other day. You did nothing wrong, don't worry, I just went crazy. =P My Bloody Valentine BTW, Daisy is a very speedy player, and has the most Stamina of all the speed players (making her the best Speed player choice for 400m Hurdles. ;))

Future Daisy Edits

Hey, Fixitup. I was wondering: based on other character articles, Daisy's could also be sorted in terms of series (ie, make a section for her "Sports Career" and put all of the sports series there, making a section for Mario Party, and one for Smash). I wanted to get your permission before I did something like that, because I know you've been one of the most involved with the article. In no way will I be able to do this in the next week or so, so it's not like you need to fear waking up to a re-written article or anything. Stumpers! 23:23, 10 February 2008 (EST)

Knife was showing me some style guideline pages, etc., and it turns out that pages not written in that style are against our style guidelines, which seems rather strange to me. Of course, he and I have been going back and forth about the Peach (item) article (he says it's too long), so I suppose these rules might not be very well enforced for all I know, in effect making them meaningless. Which style are you referring to when you say "that style" ? Also, the reason so many of these pages don't follow a specific style is because everyone working on pages works on them to the point you can see they're writing and making the page in their own form, and not a standard wiki editing form. It's odd when I look at this page then go to Waluigi or Peach's pages and see three considerably different styles of font setting and image use. What gets me the most is image use. I seriously don't know if it's due to the fact many of us don't share the same screen settings or some users just don't comprehend when an image needs to be fixed, scrapped, or replaced. I mean, as you can see on the Daisy article images are placed accordingly to the topic, the size of the paragraphing, and the position of the headers. While on other pages you see images overlapping into wrong sections and thumbnails with run-on sentences. It's disgraceful to the pages and the people who work on them. lol, yeah, it must be the size of one's computer screen. I was referring to the style where you shove all of the spin-offs into different sections from the adventuring content. Obviously we can expect user styles to make articles look different. I hope to explore this more in the future since I see a future problem coming up based on my past discussions with other users. You should know that in no way am I about to undo all of your hard work to match my idea of style (technically, they aren't my ideas, but the "general Wiki's"). OK, now that was just rude. I was trying to be polite and civil about this, but quite obviously, you don't understand that kind of language. So, I'll hit you back with what you just gave me. You were being an asshole on Talk:Baby Daisy. I believe calling everyone "brainless" merits as flaming, you brainless moron. You are so stuck up and arrogant, you can't tell when you are flaming or hurting others feelings. You don't care about anyone else but yourself; All your capable of when talking to Users who made a mistake is FLAMING!!! So STFU, and GTFO, NOW! My Bloody Valentine How does it feel?

Okay, let me just say kudos to you for not responding to him. That would have been... bad. Please read all of this to the end, and remember, I'm not sure what happened or who to side with, so I'm not trying to offend anyone. Let me clear some stuff up:

1. Yes, DP is right in that you do have a tendency to get worked up over articles and subjects you feel passionate about. You shouldn't use words like "brainless," especially in regards to other users.
2. DP's first comment was written, I think, in the humblest, least offensive way possible. You took it as an insult, which you really shouldn't. Think about it: DP forgave you for what you could technically be banned for (calling users brainless is technically flaming), and you responded by taking offense to his message and... it almost seems like there's a bit of a threat there at the end of your comment.
3. Regardless of what you've said, DP was completely out of line with his comment. Under no circumstances are SysOps allowed to call people "assholes" and make personal attacks. "Eye for an eye" stuff is completely not allowed.

In other words, DP's attack (let's call it what it was) was not entirely unprovoked, but it was still completely wrong. But, then again, he could have banned your for your comments. In other words, I don't think either of you is blameless, but I'm very, very upset that DP yelled at you. What we have here is a very bad situation. Here's what I think we can do:

1. Whipe it under the carpet - There's some crazy stuff that could happen to both of you if this gets out of hand.
2. I can take it up with DP and see what we can do, although I don't think we'll get anywhere.
3. Ban both of you - I could technically ban you both for maybe a day or two, but why the heck would I rid the Wiki of two of our best contributors?

There's nothing really I can do right now for you, but I wish I could. In situations like these all that each of us can do is modify our behavior in the future, so let's focus on that. I think you need to read over your comments on talk pages and make sure they do not have any insults, because both you and DP are making each other feel insulted.
