Template:Location-infobox The Tree Zone is one of the many areas Mario must adventure through in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. It consists of five stages, although only four are necessary to complete the world. Additionally, there is one hidden stage accessed from stage two. The Tree Zone consists of a giant tree in the southwest corner of Mario Land. Many of the enemies are based on over-sized animals. Stage one takes place in the ground surrounding the tree and features enemies such as Bopping Toady, giant moles known as Ragumo, and Spikey. Stage two takes place in the sap-filled hollow inside the tree. It features almost no enemies, with the exception of cow-like fish known as Mōgyo and Buzzy Beetle-like Noko Bombette. Stage three is the left choice at the tree's fork. It takes place atop the tree's many branches and features giant ants known as Antotto, Battle Beetles, , and numerous Piranha Plants. Stage four is the right choice at the fork of the tree. It takes place inside a giant beehive and holds bees known as Bībī and slug or larvae-like enemies such as the Grubbies and Unera. It is arguably harder than the other stages, as most of the enemies are semi-invincible, such as the Skeleton Bee. Stage five takes place in the tree's canopy and features Heavy Zed, the huge friendly owl and many flying enemies such as Dondon. The boss of stage five is a giant crow-like bird named Kurosu.

Trivia

  • The first area has an unused room underneath it, which would have been accessed via pipes.
