Sworm

Template:MLinfobox Sworms are black worms found in the outskirts of Beanbean Castle Town in the game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They have two methods of attack – burrowing into the ground and popping back out beneath Mario or Luigi, or burrowing underground, popping up in front of one of the Bros. and biting him. The former method can be countered by jumps, and the latter by Hammers.

The Fawful-like Sworms controlling a Chain Chomp in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Fawful-like versions of Sworms appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story as possessing and commanding Chain Chomps to make Chain Chawfuls. These versions of Sworms are green and make odd noises when ordering their Chain Chomps to attack. The Sworms can be dislodged and eaten with Bowser's vacuum attack, thus freeing the Chain Chomp the Sworm was controlling.

• The Fawful-resembling Sworms in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story are the only enemies to bear a resemblance to Fawful who are neither a new species, or a species introduced prior to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (such as Fawful-resembling Shy Guys, Magikoopas, etc., all of which were introduced before the creation of the Mario & Luigi series).
