Template:Minigame-infobox Shake It Up is a minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name may be a reference to the song "Shake It Up" by The Cars. It is both a 4-Player and a Duel minigame. To play the player holds the Wii Remote out and starts shaking it up and down. The game takes place in some sort of city.

Introduction

A character goes over to a table with soda cans. The character grabs a soda can and walks back to where the three other players are (one in the Duel version). The minigame starts shortly after that.

Gameplay

The characters have to shake the soda can (with the Wii Remote) as fast as they can for five seconds. Then the characters will open the can and soda will come flying up like a fountain. The character who shook the can the most will make the soda produce the biggest soda fountain of the two or four characters, and win the minigame.

Ending

The winning character will have a glass of soda in his or her hand and then do a winning pose, while still holding the soda. The three losers (one in the duel version) will do a losing pose.
