Template:Articleabout Template:Roombox The Foyer (known as "enterance" in the beta version) is the entrance to Luigi's Mansion. When Luigi first explores the mansion and fails to open the Parlor door, a Gold Ghost drops the Parlor key in the middle of the Foyer. When Luigi returns with his Poltergust 3000 later on, he finds Toad bawling over the disappearance of Mario. After Luigi talks to Toad, the lights turn on and Toad becomes happy. Luigi never encounters any ghosts in the foyer, even in the blackout, except for the Gold Ghost that gives him the key to the Parlor at the beginning of the game. All the mirrors (except for the mirror in the Mirror Room) link to this room.

Description

The Foyer is the only room (excluding Hallways) to have two floors. The door to the first floor is blocked by a force field at first and requires a special pink key, which is obtained by defeating Chauncey. The second floor's north doors lead to the Parlor, while the west door leads to the Study, Master Bedroom, Nursery, and The Twins' Room, all home to a member of the Portrait Ghost family. In the middle of the room is a big chandelier. When Luigi steps underneath it (before defeating Chauncey), it spins and falls to the floor to attack Luigi. Then Luigi can hear Chauncey's laugh.

Other Appearances

The Foyer makes a small appearance in the Mansion Patrol minigame of Super Paper Mario. In the minigame the character must blast Boos in the foyer to earn points. The Foyer also makes an appearance in Mario Party 8 in the minigame Boo-ting Gallery.

  • In between Area 2 and 3, if the player talks to Toad, he will tell them that he saw a Big Boo which signifies Boolossus.
  • The beta version of the Foyer can be seen on the pause screen.
