Focus is a command in Paper Mario that increases Mario's Star Power with a single command. It is learned after Mario defeats the Koopa Bros. and frees Eldstar, the elderly Star Spirit. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door this special move was replaced by Appeal, a similar move. However, Focus always increases Mario's SP by a set amount (unless increased by Deep Focus badge), while the amount recovered while using Appeal varied. depending on the audience
Peach also uses this move when Twink is fighting Kammy Koopa. It raises Twink's Attack and Defense by 1 each turn it is used.
