The Excess Express Conductor is a Toad that works in the Excess Express as the conductor in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He takes care of the passengers' needs.
Ghost T. later possessed him so he could write an E-mail to Mario.
Unlike other Toads, the Conductor sports a black cap with red spots, instead of the usual white cap.
When Mario first board the train, he must report to him the sticky, yummy threat, which he then reports to Pennington, the only detective on board. Later, to move on, Mario and his partners must get his blanket from the ghost in cabin 004 (by using Vivian to hide in the shadows, causing him to appear). To do this, Mario must ask Ghost T. for the blanket and he'll ask for Mario's help first. If he decides to help him, he will ask Mario to get his diary from the baggage car. Then, Mario has to ask the conductor to let him in and he will. By using Paper Mode to get through two crates, Mario finds a ragged diary. If Mario wishes to read it, he must make sure to save first, as reading the diary gives him an automatic Game Over. By returning the diary to Ghost T., he is given the blanket. After Mario gives it to the conductor, he must return to his bed.
