Trivia
- Due to lyrics in certain songs, the North American release of the game ended up being rated T by ESRB, the only Donkey Kong series game to have been rated as so, although the franchise is meant to be family-oriented whereas every other game is rated E (except for Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, which received an E10+ rating for its level of violence). The European version of the game had different songs, and gained a 3+ rating by PEGI.
