Chuckyas are large purple creatures that resemble Bob-ombs and are found in the game Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. They have red hands (boxing gloves in the remake) and gray arms as well as red orbs on their heads, and they move about by sliding on the ground on what appears to be a magnetic tip or top. They move around a small area, and if Mario gets too close, they pick him up and throw him in a random direction, an attack method similar to Big Bob-omb's.

Unlike other Bob-omb species, Chuckyas don't attack by exploding. To defeat a Chuckya, Mario must pick the creature up from behind and throw the Chuckya, causing the enemy to explode and release five yellow Coins. Yoshi cannot defeat these enemies in Super Mario 64 DS due to limits on his abilities. They are found in Wet-Dry World, Tall Tall Mountain, Rainbow Ride, the "huge" area of Tiny-Huge Island, and Bowser in the Sky, as well as the exclusive Battle Fort in the remake. In the remake, they have wind-up keys on their backs, adding to their mechanical appearance. When moving, they make the sound of a working machine, similar to the Heave Ho.
