Cake (boss)

Bundt is an oversized living wedding cake found in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The cake is the creation of Chef Torte and his apprentice. The cake is initially ordered by Booster for his wedding to Toadstool. Chef Torte (with help from his apprentice) outdoes himself and creates the world's greatest wedding cake, Bundt. However, Mario interrupts the wedding and rescues Toadstool. When Chef Torte realizes the wedding is ruined, he becomes irate and Torte and his apprentice attacks Mario and his allies. However, Bundt starts to move. Torte's apprentice tells his master this, but Torte ignores his apprentice's warnings. Then the cake moves a second time, and Torte and his apprentice run for their lives. However, Mario stays to fight the large cake monster. To defeat the cake, Mario and co. must blow out all five of the cake's candles with physical attacks, then kill it by hitting it when all of its candles are out. However, Bundt is able to relight one candle each time it attacks, and the fact that it moves multiple times in one turn doesn't help. After being defeated, Bundt's top layers disappear, leaving the base layer, Raspberry, to fight Mario.

Trivia

• Bundt is named after a bundt cake, despite it being a wedding cake rather than a bundt cake.
• Bundt has the sprite of Raspberry when on the map screen. The reason for this is unknown.
