Bubbas are big fish with shades that will eat Mario if he gets anywhere near them. They appear in Tiny Huge Island in Super Mario 64. They look and act a lot like Boss Bass from Super Mario Bros. 3. Bubba appears to be a species of Blurp. Related to them is the small Bub fish.In Super Mario 64 DS, Big Berthas took the place of Bubbas.
Additionally, stepping on a Happening Space on Yoshi's Tropical Island, a gameboard in Mario Party, would make Bubba switch Toad's and Bowser's position.
Bubbas are also in Super Mario Sunshine. In this game, they drag Mario down to the seafloor. Strangely, if Mario is holding a Fruit, they can't grab onto him. They appear on Gelato Beach.
