Boomerang Bros. are enemies found in the Beanbean Kingdom in the game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Completely unlike any other Boomerang Bro, they are extremely tall and thin, wear sunglasses, and have sprouts growing from their heads. Like Troopeas are to Koopa Troopas, this species may be the Beanbean Kingdom equivalent of normal Boomerang Bros., with which they share a name in the English and Japanese localizations.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, they only inhabit the Gwarhar Lagoon. In battle, Boomerang Bros. throw brown boomerangs, which Mario and Luigi can dodge with jumps. Before throwing, its sunglasses will twinkle; if the right side of the glasses twinkle, it will attack Mario only/first, and if the left side twinkles, it will target Luigi only/first. Sometimes a Boomerang Bro will throw its boomerang directly at Mario or Luigi, which after reaching him, will come back for the Boomerang Bro to reclaim, occasionally attempting to hit the opposite brother on its way back. At other times however, a Boomerang Bro will throw its boomerang off-screen; and when this happens, the boomerang will come back, attempting to hit one of the brothers before the Boomerang Bro can catch it again. The boomerangs can cause the trip ailment.

Interestingly, the Boomerang Bros. are capable of dropping Oho Gear in Japanese versions of Superstar Saga; this item was unused in the original American release, being buried in the game's code despite being fully functional.
