Baby Luigi's involvement as starring role in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time starts when Baby Bowser decides to kidnap Baby Peach on the same day the Shroobs decide to invade the Mushroom Kingdom. While Baby Mario and Baby Luigi arrive to play with Baby Peach, Baby Mario battles and defeats Baby Bowser. Baby Luigi, during the battle, is busy trying to cheer Baby Peach up and therefore doesn't battle alongside Baby Mario. The Shroobs then invade the castle and everyone is forced to flee into the Koopa Cruiser, where Baby Bowser plans to take the refugees into the safety of his castle. Baby Bowser and the others then head to Hollijolli Village, partly because of Baby Peach's plead to destroy the Shroob UFOs occupying the area. The Baby Mario Bros. get sent to rescue the faint Mario Bros. and they defeat the Shroobs that have done so. Princess Shroob, second in command of the Shroobs, shoots a missile at the Koopa Cruiser. The Koopa Cruiser takes a hit and crash lands in Baby Bowser's Castle.
Baby Luigi plays a starring role in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Here, he teams up with Mario, Luigi, and Baby Mario to stop the Shroob invasion in the past. He first meets Mario and Luigi after they have been defeated by the Shroobs in Holli Jolli village. Most of the game, he travels piggyback on Luigi but ventures with Baby Mario if the adult brothers throw them. After traveling throughout the past, beating enemies, and acquiring the Cobalt Star Shards, Baby Luigi and the others eventually stop the Shroob invasion. After this has been accomplished, Baby Luigi, with others, return to the past.

In battle, Baby Luigi battles identically to Baby Mario. He does not fight at the very beginning of the game, but is able to later on. His default ability is jumping on foes, which he cannot perform on spiked enemies. Baby Luigi, along Baby Mario, later acquire hammers to injure spiked foes and be able to venture further in the game. For all attacks, he must time the attack for the most damage. If not, Baby Luigi either does a hurt-like pose after a jump, drops the hammer head, or trips and lands on his face when using the hammer if the button is pressed too early. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also acquire overworld abilities in the game: the Baby Spin, which allows them to reach hard to reach areas that Mario and Luigi can't access, even with the Spin Jump and the Baby Cakes, which enables them to slip underneath cracks and float on winds due to compressed weight. He can also use Bros. Items, but he needs a partner to do so. If Luigi faints, Baby Luigi drags Luigi out of battle and fights in his place; if Baby Luigi faints, Baby Mario or Mario carries him, and his added weight hinders dodging capabilities. If Baby Mario faints, Baby Luigi carries him when enemies are attacking, and it also hinders his jumping abilities. Stat wise, he differs from Baby Mario in most ways. Baby Luigi has slightly less speed and less attack, but more HP and defense. However, he has more speed and less HP, defense, attack, and 'stache than his adult counterpart, Luigi.
Mario and Luigi haven't been thrown clear of the crash, but they eventually find Baby Mario and Baby Luigi trapped in a high place. Baby Luigi seems to be reluctant to get down, but does so anyway because of the soft fabrics of Stuffwell. After a brief tutorial by him, the Baby Mario Bros. then team up with their adult counterparts out of the castle and into a Time Hole. Along the way, they find a mysterious sparkling shard. The group of four return to Princess Peach's Castle and Professor Elvin Gadd identifies the crystal as a Cobalt Star Shard, the fuel source of his time machine. Another Time Hole appears and the four go into it to investigate it, only ending up in Toadwood Forest.

In Toadwood Forest, Toadiko appears to be trapped in the branches, with her energy being depleted by the Vim Factory. She turns into a Shroob Mushroom and the group explores the forest in order to open up the door to the Vim Factory. Shortly after entering the Vim Factory, the L33t Hamm3r Broz. suck Mario and Luigi away, leaving Baby Mario and Baby Luigi panicked. After the Baby Mario Bros. defeat the L33t Hamm3r Broz., the helmets break and the Hammer Bros. get reverted to normal. As a thanks, they give the Baby Mario Bros. hammers and teach the Bros. how to utilize them. Baby Luigi's hammer technique is the Baby Drill; he leaps on top of Baby Mario while they drill into the ground. This technique is utilized to acquire underground items and move underneath fences. After figuring out how to reach the trapped Mario Bros., the babies free them and they're once together again. The group of four moves along until they reach the end of the Vim Factory, which houses Swiggler. They defeat Swiggler and earn a Cobalt Star Shard, however, Baby Bowser barges in and attempts to steal the Cobalt Star Shard. He proceeds to spin for the purpose of making the Mario Bros. dizzy, which he succeeds in doing that to the adults, but the babies continue spinning. Even though they're not dizzy, they're immobile and this enables Baby Bowser to steal the Cobalt Star Shards.

The Bros. return to Princess Peach's Castle, only to find out that Time Holes have been appearing excessively. After Mario and Luigi learn a new technique from the Toadsworths, they go into the library and enter Yoshi's Island via Time Hole. All of the Yoshis seem to disappear in this island and the Bros. meet Kylie Koopa in a hut. The babies find out that the Yoshis in the island are hiding from Yoob, who seems to have hatched from a pink and green-spotted egg. It turns out that Yoob is eating the Yoshi inhabitants. The Bros. enter a hut, which leads to another part of the island. Luigi finds out that there are Yoshi Cookies lying there. He almost eats one himself, but Baby Luigi gives him a look that compels Luigi to give him the cookie. Baby Luigi happily accepts the cookie and says, "Thank you very much."

The four heroes venture through the island, even while Kamek makes fire barriers. They find Baby Bowser and Kamek, with a stash of cookies and Baby Bowser eating them. Mario and Luigi confront Kamek and Baby Bowser, while Baby Mario and Baby Luigi get distracted and eat the entire cookie stash. Baby Bowser unleashes his fury and calls Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, "snackaholics". Kamek promises that he will defeat them, but he gets defeated himself. The Bros. then pursue Baby Bowser, who gets trapped in a dead end. The Bros. get shocked when Baby Bowser decides to the Yoshi Cookie, in which he is even proclaiming, "Tasty!". However, Yoob climbs up, gets zapped by a Shroob UFO to grow larger, and eats everyone in sight.

Baby Mario and Baby Luigi get upset and start crying once they land into Yoob's intestines. While Luigi gets up, he finds that Mario is still unconscious. Luigi attempts to cheer the babies up, but fails to do so. Right when he is about to lose his mind, he grabs Yoshi Cookies out of his pocket. This cheers Baby Mario and Baby Luigi up and therefore makes them stop crying. Mario then regains his consciousness and the Bros. travel through Yoob's body. The Yoshis inside of Yoob aid the Bros. by pushing Chomp Rocks in order to enlarge some parts of Yoob's body. The Bros. find out that the Yoob has a factory inside of him which traps Yoshis inside eggs. The Baby Mario Bros. shut down the factory, which shuts Yoob down and enables the Bros. to travel further. They meet Toadbert, who lost his memory and gives them his drawing. The Bros. then battle Sunnycide, defeat it, and exit Yoob through the rear end. Baby Bowser happens to vomit the Cobalt Star Shards, which provides the Bros. with the opportunity to swipe them. They manage to do so and return to the present.

After the adult Mario Bros. learn how to use the Bros. Ball, which enables them to access another Time Hole, the heroes hop into the Time Hole and travel to Gritzy Desert. The Bros. try to get into the Koopaseum in the desert, only to be chased by a large army of Shroobs. While the Bros. hide behind a pillar, the Baby Bros. wander away and Luigi tries to pursue them, only to find himself getting pursued by a single Shroob. After this event and after Mario meets Kylie Koopa again, the Bros. separate and activate the Dry Bones heads in the desert. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi must also battle enemies in the path and activate switches for the adult Mario Bros. to also access the remote parts of the desert. After activating the statues, the Colosseum opens and the Bros. can enter.

Inside the Colosseum, a celebration is held, honoring the conquest of the Mushroom Kingdom. What compels the Bros. to proceed further is the attempt of feeding Princess Peach to Petey Piranha, which the Mario Bros. panic. They try interfering, only to end up onstage. Princess Shroob orders Shrooboid Brat to attack the Bros., only to find itself defeated by them. She then orders the Shroobs to zap the ground beneath the Mario Bros., which makes them plummet into Gritzy Caves. In the caves, the adult Bros. are knocked unconscious. Baby Mario attempts to wake Luigi up by screaming and makes a last attempt by smacking him with his hammer while Baby Luigi hesitantly steps back. Luigi regains his consciousness and gets infuriated at the babies, who cry because of the threat. Mario wakes up to find out Luigi has caused trouble and confronts Luigi. Luigi, intimidated by Mario, also starts crying. After a while, the Bros. proceed to travel through the caverns, battling enemies and solving puzzles, until they find Kylie Koopa tied up. A Shroob cuts the rope and she gets eaten by Petey Piranha, who promptly escapes.

A few rooms later, Petey Piranha appears. The Mario Bros. attempt to hide behind pillars and try to sneak, only to find out that Luigi has accidentally left Baby Luigi behind. Petey Piranha locates Baby Luigi and drastically intimidates him, causing him to scream. The Bros. rescue Baby Luigi and attack Petey Piranha. They eventually defeat him, who spits up a Cobalt Star Shard and Kylie Koopa. The Bros. rescue Princess Peach, who seems all right, despite that a Shroob Mushroom is growing out of her face. They take Princess Peach back to the castle, where she takes a nap.

The two Toadsworths teach the Mario Bros. another move, this time altering the Baby Mario Bros.. One move is spinning the babies high in the air and the other is Baby Cakes, where the adult Bros. flatten the Baby Bros. into wafer-thin form. Shortly after the Bros. learn the techniques, Bowser makes an attempt to kidnap Princess Peach. While escaping, he breaks the floor and tumbles into the Time Hole into the room below him. The Bros. pursue Bowser and end up in Thwomp Volcano. After climbing to the top of the volcano, they meet the younger E. Gadd and Mrs. Thwomp, who battles them but gets defeated. After the Bros. defeat Mrs. Thwomp, her husband takes them into the volcano, where they solve many puzzles. The four heroes eventually meet up with Bowser, who teams up with Baby Bowser. They defeat Bowser and Baby Bowser after a fight and leave Princess Peach behind. The Shroob Mother Ship then comes in and abducts Princess Peach while the Bros. follow her. They navigate through the ship until they're met by a seemingly-traitorous Shroob that knocks away the other Shroobs and Princess Shroob, who is actually disguised as Princess Peach. It turns out that it's actually Kylie Koopa and she utilizes a key that makes her and the Bros. fall out of the ship.

The Bros. end up in a destroyed Toad Town. They find a Warp Pipe that leads to Star Hill. After navigating through Star Hill, the heroes get ambushed by Commander Shroob, but he ends up getting defeated. The Bros. go into Star Shrine to find a Cobalt Star Shard. The spirit of the star appears and begins to speak, while Baby Luigi knows that something amiss is in that star and whatever it is, he starts crying because of the presumed threat in the star. The others don't know why he is crying, but calm him down anyway. They pass on into the gate, which claims that Luigi doesn't have a pure heart. After being tested and proven that he indeed has a pure heart, the gate knew that he has a pure heart the entire time and the whole process is simply a test. In the shrine, the Bros. eventually pass through and find the fourth Cobalt Star Shard. The Elder Shrooboid attacks them, turns Kylie Koopa and Toadbert into Shroob Mushrooms, and gets defeated by the Bros.

The Bros. return to the castle and are asked to go to the Shroob Castle in the past. After exploring the castle, defeating enemies, solving puzzles, and destroying the Shroob Mother Ship, they inspect the crashed spaceship. The hatch opens up and Baby Mario and Baby Luigi get frightened by it. Baby Luigi tries to make Luigi the first one to inspect it by pushing him, but he happens to be frightened too, so he goes behind him. After this event, Luigi gestures Mario to go inspect it. He goes to investigate, when a sudden voice surprises both of them. Princess Shroob is the voice and she then attacks the Bros.. They defeat Princess Shroob and Princess Peach shows the last Cobalt Star Shard to them. She doesn't give it to them for a reason that she is about to explain, however Baby Bowser barges in and combines all of the Star Shards together, which creates Elder Princess Shroob. Princess Peach then describes how she traps the Elder Princess Shroob into the Cobalt Star and this also happens to be the perceived threat that Baby Luigi has acquired earlier in the Star Shrine.

Although mighty and powerful, Elder Princess Shroob eventually gets defeated by the Bros.. She turns into a Mushroom, which Baby Luigi walks up to and takes it as a souvenir. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also get uninterested by the conversation that Princess Peach and Mario are having and Baby Luigi starts playing with the Mushroom that used to be Baby Bowser. Baby Mario also decides it's fun and steps on Baby Luigi. Baby Luigi, after feeling pain from him, starts crying and restores Baby Bowser. After the gang realises it, the camera humorously circles on the crying Baby Luigi, and then makes the screen turn black. Professor Elvin Gadd then develops an invention that has similar chemical properties as tears and sprays it in the past, annihilating Shroob presence.

The Toads then inform the Bros. about the unconscious Bowser, who they then meet. The purple Mushroom, Baby Luigi's souvenir, then flies out of his grasp and flings itself into Bowser's mouth, which he swallows. Bowser, as Shrowser, regains energy and fights the Bros., who can't fight back. However, they exploit his attacks and utilize it against him, which he ultimately gets defeated from, and thus obliterates Elder Princess Shroob. After this fight, the Time Machine gets fixed. Baby Mario gives his hammer to Mario and happily leaves him. Baby Luigi, however, doesn't want to leave and actually wants to explore more, until Luigi bribes him with the last Yoshi Cookie. He also tries reminding Baby Luigi to give his hammer, but he flings it and hits Luigi, which Baby Luigi gets delighted from. They then travel back to their own time period after a farewell.

In battle, Baby Luigi battles identically to Baby Mario. He doesn't fight at the very beginning of the game, but is able to later on. Baby Luigi usually teams up with Luigi, but sometimes ventures with only Baby Mario. His default ability is jumping on foes, which he can't perform on spiked enemies. Baby Luigi, along with Baby Mario, later acquire hammers to injure spiked foes and be able to venture further in the game. For all attacks, he must time the attack for the most damage. If not, Baby Luigi either does a different pose after a jump, make the hammer head fall off the stick, or trip and land on his face when using the hammer if the button is pressed too early. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also acquire newer overworld abilities in the game, such as the Baby Spin, which allows them to reach hard to reach areas that Mario and Luigi can't access, even with the Spin Jump and the Baby Cakes, which enables them to slip underneath cracks and float on winds due to compressed weight. He can also use Bros. Items, but he needs a partner to do so. If Baby Luigi's partner faints, he carries him when enemies are attacking and hinders his dodging abilities. If Baby Luigi faints, Baby Mario or Mario carries him and his faint body also hinders dodging capabilities. Stat wise, he differs from Baby Mario in most ways. Baby Luigi has less speed and less attack, but more HP and defense. However, he has more speed and less defense, attack, and 'stache than his adult counterpart, Luigi.

“Uh-oh, Baby Luigi time!”
Baby Luigi, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Baby Luigi is the infant form of Luigi. In the Yoshi series, he is kidnapped several times by Baby Bowser and Kamek. In these games, Baby Mario, along with Yoshi have rescued Baby Luigi a few times. Besides the Yoshi series, he has appeared in several spin-off titles such as the Mario Kart series. Charles Martinet voices Baby Luigi, just like his older self.

History

Yoshi series

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Baby Luigi and the Stork after being found by Yoshi and Baby Mario.

Baby Luigi appears with Baby Mario during the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island when he and the Stork carrying him are captured by Kamek. Baby Luigi is then taken to Bowser's Castle. After going through the many levels and bosses, Baby Mario and Yoshi manage to rescue Baby Luigi. The Stork then successfully delivers the Baby Mario Bros. to their parents.

Yoshi Touch & Go

In the Nintendo DS game, Yoshi Touch & Go, Baby Luigi is kidnapped again by Kamek's Toadies, thus setting the stage for the game, as Yoshi must fling Yoshi Eggs at the Toadies to rescue him. Also, when players are playing the multiplayer mode, the second player's Yoshi is toting Baby Luigi.

Yoshi's Island DS

File:Toadiesluigismall.png

Bowser and Kamek kidnap Baby Luigi, who is one of the kidnapped babies in Yoshi's Island DS. After Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Baby Wario, Baby Donkey Kong, and Baby Bowser team up, they all proceed to rescue him. Bowser and Kamek kidnapped all of the babies because they were searching for the seven Star Children. Baby Luigi hides at the time Bowser and Kamek are checking the toddlers for stars, and, as a result, never finds out that he is a Star Child himself. After defeating Bowser, Baby Luigi is rescued and the babies find out that they're Star Children.

Mario Kart series

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Baby Luigi makes his playable debut in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, his weight class being light-weight. Baby Luigi's default partner is Baby Mario and his kart is the Rattle Buggy, which compromises the acceleration for speed. Their special item is a Chain Chomp, which can pull them forward at high speeds and knock over any opponent who gets in the way. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also have a course in this game, which is Baby Park, and it's notable for being the shortest course in the game. It has 7 laps in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! to compensate for the short length.

Mario Kart DS

Although Baby Luigi doesn't appear as a playable character in Mario Kart DS, Baby Park from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! reappears as a Retro Course in the game. The billboard showing them is also here.

Mario Kart Wii

Baby Luigi later returns to the Mario Kart series as an unlockable character in Mario Kart Wii as a small driver, meaning his karts generally have high acceleration, handling, drifting, and Mini-Turbo, but generally lower speed and weight. Baby Luigi's karts are the same as the other light-weight characters, except that his are green and share the same trademark L emblem as Luigi. Unlocking 8 Expert Staff Ghost Data in Time Trials, winning 100 WFC Ghost Races, or playing 3,150 races unlocks Baby Luigi. He is tied with Baby Daisy for having the best speed bonus in the game for small drivers, which makes any vehicle have a slightly higher top speed. Baby Luigi also has the biggest bonus, along with Baby Mario, which is his weight bonus. It significantly increases the weight of Baby Luigi's kart.

Mario Baseball series

Mario Superstar Baseball

Baby Luigi appears in Mario Superstar Baseball as an unlockable speed character if the player completes Challenge Mode using Yoshi's team, which he just so happens to be on. Baby Luigi is classified as a speed character, which means he excels at stealing bases and fielding. Baby Luigi's special ability is Wall Jump, which enables him to catch any would-be home-runs. However, Baby Luigi's batting and fielding stats are very low and he has average pitching.

Mario Super Sluggers

Baby Luigi prepares to bat in Mario Super Sluggers.
Baby Luigi prepares to bat, in Mario Super Sluggers.

Baby Luigi appears in Mario Super Sluggers, where he is available from the start, unlike the preceding game. Baby Luigi has better fielding skills than in Mario Superstar Baseball and his special ability is Super Jump rather than Wall Jump. Super Jump enables Baby Luigi to jump higher than other characters who do not have this ability. The player can recruit him in Challenge Mode by rescuing him in Mario Stadium by turning switches to open up a bridge. Like all of the other baby characters in the game, Baby Luigi cannot speak and instead says incomprehensible words that only Lakitu can interpret.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

Super Mario-Kun

Baby Luigi has made several appearances in the Japan-exclusive manga, Super Mario-Kun. He first appears in Volume 14, which is based on Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In this comic, the present Mario and Luigi travel to the past to stop Bowser from helping Kamek kidnap Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, and they also aid Yoshi to deliver the Baby Mario Bros. to their parents. Baby Luigi later appears in Volume 36, which is based off Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Volume 40, which is based off Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

Cameos

An opening screenshot from Mario Power Tennis
Baby Mario and Baby Luigi (spotted in the bottom right hand corner) in the Mario Power Tennis opening.

Baby Mario's trophy information in Super Smash Bros. Melee briefly mentions how the stork, carrying him and Baby Luigi gets ambushed in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he makes a relatively small cameo as a minuscule sticker. Here, Baby Luigi is featured with Luigi in the Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time artwork.

Both Baby Mario and Baby Luigi can be seen in the crowd in the opening of Mario Power Tennis. They can be seen only in the first match where Mario and Luigi beat Wario and Waluigi.

Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also make a cameo appearance in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, along with several notable characters. They are seen throughout Yoshi Park 1 and have a sponsor, Baby Land, seen throughout other courses.

General Information

Physical Description

Baby Luigi is happy for helping his team score in Mario Super Sluggers.
Baby Luigi utilizes the same color scheme as his adult counterpart.

Baby Luigi is very similar to Baby Mario. Both have black, beady eyes and a large, trademark nose. He also has a thin layer of brown hair always covered by his trademark "L" hat. The only major difference between Baby Mario and Baby Luigi is that Baby Mario wears a red shirt and red cap, while he wears a green shirt and green cap. Also, Baby Luigi's sneakers are green instead of cyan like Baby Mario's.

Personality

Baby Luigi, like his adult counterpart, is described as being meek and cowardly. For the most part, Baby Luigi is very friendly too, as he gets along great with the other babies. Baby Luigi's timid nature is also evidenced in the Mario Kart Wii official guide, which states that he used to ride with Baby Daisy until her bold and boisterous personality scared him. Games such as Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Mario Superstar Baseball also depict Baby Luigi as a shy person, stating that his appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is the first time he appears in front of a crowd. In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Baby Luigi seems to be the only one who knew that restoring the Cobalt Star shards would restore the Elder Princess Shroob because he cried when he saw something in the Cobalt Star. Baby Luigi also has a love for bubbles and milk (which he calls Milkies). Although he is an extreme crybaby, as seen in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, he seems to actually be less cowardly than his older self.

Interactions with Other Characters

Baby Mario

Main article: Baby Mario

Baby Mario is Baby Luigi's older twin brother and best friend. Baby Mario, with the guidance of Yoshi, saves him a total of three times, once in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, once in Yoshi Touch & Go, and once in Yoshi's Island DS. In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, the brothers team up in the beginning of the game to rescue Baby Peach from Baby Bowser. The two have good chemistry in Mario Superstar Baseball and its sequel Mario Super Sluggers. Baby Mario is also Baby Luigi's default partner in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and the two go with each other to Mario and Luigi's tennis match in Mario Power Tennis.

Baby Daisy

File:MKWiiBabyDaisyStatue.PNG
A statue, with Baby Luigi and Baby Daisy
Main article: Baby Daisy

Baby Luigi's interactions with Baby Daisy mirror the interactions of their adult counterparts. In Mario Kart Wii, there's a statue of the two holding hands and dancing together on the Daisy Circuit course. The official guide for Mario Kart Wii also states that Baby Daisy used to ride with him until he got frightened of her. The two also share chemistry with each other in Mario Super Sluggers.

Yoshi

Main article: Yoshi

In all of the instances that Baby Luigi has been kidnapped, Yoshi has been assisting the other babies to rescue him from the beginning of each game. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, all of the Yoshis of Yoshi's Island decide to help Baby Mario rescue his brother from the clutches of Kamek. In Yoshi Touch & Go, Yoshi and Baby Mario proceed to rescue Baby Luigi in every level. Finally, in Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi teams up with Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Baby Donkey Kong, Baby Wario, and Baby Bowser to rescue Baby Luigi from Kamek and Bowser.

His older self

Main article: Luigi
Luigi patting Baby Luigi from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

Even though Luigi is technically Baby Luigi as an adult, the two seem to get along very well in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Although Luigi is very forgetful, such as times when he leaves Baby Luigi behind during Petey Piranha's arrival, he's very caring for Baby Luigi and usually calms him down when he's crying. A scene in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time involves Luigi about to eat a cookie but he realises Baby Luigi wants it. He decides to give the cookie to Baby Luigi, and Baby Luigi thanks him afterwards. At the end of the game, Baby Luigi is very reluctant to go back to the past and leave Luigi behind. When Baby Luigi finally decides to give in, he sends his hammer as a gift, but humorously knocks Luigi out instead of simply giving it to him, like Baby Mario does to Mario.

Star Children

Baby Luigi seems to get along well with other babies. Examples of this are that he shares good chemistry with Baby Peach and Baby Donkey Kong in Mario Super Sluggers. Another example is that Baby Wario and briefly Baby Bowser, team up with the other babies to rescue Baby Luigi in Yoshi's Island DS.
