Diddy Kong Racing is a game for Nintendo 64. Like the Mario Kart series, Diddy Kong Racing is a racing game, but made use of airplanes, hovercrafts, and wheeled vehicles; it s also the first game of the Donkey Kong Racing series. The game has a story mode, muliplayer modes, and a variety of characters (many from Rare series), such as Diddy Kong, Banjo, Tiptup, and Conker, but strangely, not Donkey Kong. (more...)

Link to Userpedia in "community"

In the community section of the sidebar on the left side of the screen, there are links to the Chat and Forum. However, there is no link to Userpedia. Although it is on a separate site (Adriels), it is an integral part of the Wiki community. Adding it to the sidebar would attract lots of visitors to Userpedia. (more...)

Mario & Nintendo News

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (pictured) was released in Japan for the Wii on November 5, 2009.
The Cookie Jar Group launched Jaroo.com, a video-streaming website for many of their television series on November 3, 2009. The first five episodes of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! are currently available for viewing, with a new episode to be added every Tuesday.
Nintendo confirmed the release of the Nintendo DSi XL, a DSi with increased screen size aimed for older people, for November 21, 2009 in Japan. It will be released in Europe and America in 2010's first quarter.

Did You Know?

In the late 1990s, the level Wet-Dry World from Super Mario 64 was featured in a milk commercial, along with Mario.
In Wario: Master of Disguise, Wario could traverse lava by wearing an item called Sweatmore Hotpants.
In the anime Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen!, Mario used the same way to defeat Bowser as he did in the later released Super Mario 64. The scene might actually have inspired the game's final battle.
