This article is about the object from the first three games in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. For the yellow spring from other games in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, see Long Spring.

Yellow Springs,[1] also known as simply springs,[2] are objects that appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!. They are yellow-colored springs with a flat board on top.

Spring

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Yellow Springs (referred to as springs) are introduced in Level 1-1 of Mario Toy Company as objects that Mario can bounce on. If the player presses A Button while Mario is touching the top of a spring, he bounces much higher, allowing him to reach high ledges.

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Yellow Springs are the counterpart to Blue Springs, and are introduced in Room 1-2 of Mushroom Mayhem. If a Mini jumps onto a Yellow Spring, the Mini is launched in an upwards arc, allowing it to reach girders directly above it. Yellow Springs can be affected by gravity and moved by conveyor belts. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, Yellow Springs are introduced in Room 1-5 of Mini Mayhem. They function identically to the previous game; however, a Mini will automatically jump on a Yellow Spring upon reaching it. Box Springs containing a Yellow Spring also appear, being introduced in Room 2-5 of Sandstone Stroll.

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, similar springs known as High Springs appear.
