Hi Again

Yikes. Yeah, university can be a scary thing. Though, when I was in university last year, it wasn't too bad. The courses were a little harder, but the reports were nothing compared to what my mother gave me. I know you'll do alright; you're really smart. ...4:30 AM? Girl, that is insane. (Well, I have stayed up that late before, but that's different than waking up that early.) But, birds are really wonderful creatures; I imagine it's well worth the effort. =) Me? Meh, I'm not doing too bad. I'm starting to get back in the swing of editing since my family and I have settled down for a bit. I'll be going back to university sometimes soon, which is something I'm looking forward to. Other than that, I've been working on my forums a lot. The never lasting non-chatting section (not really!)

Ah, what a busy female. Mmm. I'm going to get a bit more busy as well, I have to finish my current art project, my letter R written over with drawings I made. I have to paint the spaces here and there. Also, I have a science project for the big ending at the end of the year, involving a person in front of everyone, umm, some cardboard with pictures and text, and talking w/ the skills from drama class. As for the wiki, I'm doing some other things (I think you didn't respond back... understanded tho), compressing more images in UP, and now recently polishing templates that I pick for myself. Examples? Template:SM64, Template:WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! Microgames, and Template:Yoshi's Story (I might have to work on that tho). And I'll be releasing all over 500 images into the wiki in a certain day, my birthday. ;P Oh more theories eh? Good luck "Walkazifying" (Wal-ka-zi-fy-ing, I can't even pronounce it quickly! Incase you haven't responded, I decided to write up this once again. Well, today's my birthday. I got some presents from the wiki, and in RL. :3 Banjo & Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. That bird and bear with that magic wrench given by the Loard of Games when he took their moves away. Mmm. :P I tried uploading all of my images. Apparently I only got around 229 images (right now) instead of 550 images. I actually started the launch of the images when the clock strikes 12. Dang, it took more than what I can handle. So I'll be continuing a bit... *yawn* Later. RAP... Oh, and I think I either made over 1000 edits, or 500 edits today, I can't tell if it is one of them. ;o

Anyways, I heard this weird quirky dream that you were typing your response, but it turns out you were responding to the other users that you had. St00bs said something that my mini-dream might tell me the future. I was wrong once, although the leftovers tell me you'd respond later on anyway. OK, enough on that...

Here's a hint, recent Nintendo press kits. :O In Nintendo related news, by the time E3 already ended, Nintendo had already completed designing the successor of the DS, but due to the major sales of the DSi, they decided to drop it. It might be sad for the fans, but it gives Nintendo the opportunity to improve the hardware, and they might release it later on in a couple of years. I don't mean to bug you, but how are you today? RAP...

Have you heard my project "Growth of the Summer"? If not, read my post in the staff forums. ;o Also, after cleaning up my archive binder, I realized how much stuff I have done from the last couple of years while keeping my ideas inside. The R'n'D level ideas notebook, the Mario Party Coin Madness notebook, my poems and other writings in English that truly touches me, canceled series of my handdrawn comic (it still made me chuckle when I looked over the pages :3), my complete drawings, scraps of them, and etc, more Rocks and Diamonds stuff, and finally, the "suggested" wiki ideas that I made for myself. And only less than 5 percent is revealed to the wiki. Heh. x3 All my activities, in there. The binder. Have you kept a history of your work for future purposes? :3 RAP... History is made every day. By good reasons, or bad reasons. You can't escape it. :O

We users have our own time to manage the wiki ourselves with free time. :3 If the users are at school, stay in school and try your best and edit a little. I see that your doing more than enough fair share of edits, mostly gnomework, which is very nice. :3 For me, I'm feeling very sluggish lately when it comes to editing the wiki. I know body wants me to edit the wiki, but my brain says, "eh, let the others take care of the problem", you see what I mean? That's why when I experience those moments, I think I rather draw levels for Rocks 'n' Diamonds. Very unique levels. :o I know I have my own resources that other guys don't even bother gathering, but the problem is can I handle a lot of stuff around me? And that's when I decided to try making PipeProjects, so other users can participate and know more of the Mario knowledge (even though you have a hate on that plumber XD). Sysop Board

Hi, Grandy. The members on the Sysop board deemed it necessary to install a new feature that'll increase the security of the wiki. To do this, you will have to get an account registered on the forums. Once you make your account there, the issue will be explained. Since you have trouble loading the forums (because of avatars and signatures, right?), you can edit your 'Look and Layout Preferences' to turn off avatar and signature display. That'd make the forum run much faster, I'm sure. If I can do something else to help, let me know. (Also, I'll respond to your other message as soon as I can.) Well, the story arc system is similar to the arc system in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. In each story arc, there are different culprits and different victims. But everyone is a victim at least once. I'll keep that in mind. School's out in a month, but it's the hardest month of the year. I have to write two essays (one English, one French), do two art projects and another English project that hasn't been assigned yet, write four exams, give three French presentations, read/reread two books by Friday, and keep up with day-to-day math and science homework too. I hate making mistakes, so I brood over my Proposal ideas for weeks before posting them, so that I have it just right. I'd love too. For example (I haven't really thought out how it would work for Sysops, but your role would come in about 2 chapters), their is one part where a gang of trolls will try beating up Mario & Luigi in the city of Pipe Plaza. The Patrollers (like police officers) come and block them (defeat and banish them from the wiki indefinitely) and Mario is drained in energy and has injuries (like bruises). The patroller would give him "rollback" (a medical potion which all patrollers posses) to undo all the damage the trolls did to him. I know it may sound weird, but I still have time to come up with better things. Super Mario Bros. (talk)

Thanks! I didn't know about the real-life Cantharis beetles, actually (I specialize in North American birds). I get the names from an English-Latin online translator (I typed in "Beetle", it gave me "Cantharis"), and I've never actually compared them to real world organisms. I know species names are often shared (i.e. the Oriole Blackbird Gymnomystax mexicanus and its own cousin, the Great-Tailed Grackle Quiscalus mexicanus), but I'm not sure about genera. Maybe once I'm done the species expositions I'll look into that; thanks for the heads-up. - Walkazo 18:46, 30 June 2009 (EDT)

Speculation

I'm temporarily back from retirement to ask one question: When is speculation allowed? I know that it is generally removed, but I did read an adminastrator on wikia (I know wikia is different from Mariowiki but they're both wikis) say that speculation is okay as long as there is sufficient evidence. Is this true for Super Mario wiki, and if so, then what is the borderline between speculation and sufficient evidence? An example of something I'm unsure about is the second bullet here. Anyway, your help with this would be greatly appreciated as it was with other things. White Knight 21:15, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

Thanks for you help! That pretty much answered about 90% of my question, but there's one other thing (which I probably should have just asked in the previous message). What should Mario Wiki do when there are several, leginamite possibilities as to why something happened? Take Snake's Codec about Sonic for example. Look at this quote from SMASHwiki "The reason for this dialogue is unknown, but there are many given possibilities, such as a joke relating to the fact that some hedgehogs are capable of eating snakes, the fact that Sonic is also a 3rd Party character just like Snake, Sonic's opposition to Mario, or that Snake doesn't like fantasy themes (like Sonic) as shown in codecs with Mei Ling. Another possible explanation would be that Hideo Kojima had to actually ask Sakurai to input Snake into the game, while for Sonic, it's the fans who asked Sakurai to add him to the roster. This could also be a reference to the fact that Snake's Japanese voice actor is the son of Dr. Eggman's Japanese voice actor." Another example (in case that was a poor one) is the Negative Zone. That could be a refrence to Luigi always being in Mario's shadow, the infamous minus world, the fact that Weegee was just a palette swap of Mario originally, the destroyed Sammer Kingdom of Super Paper Mario, or something else. That's a lot of possibilites, which most seem that they're possible to be the correct reason. So on one hand, I feel that the readers should be informed on this interesting info. On the other hand, only one can be correct, and I feel a list like this could soon grow into a mess. So I also think if there are multiple possibilities, these things shouldn't be there and the reader should interpret in his/her own way. How do you make a proposal, could you please make a proposal to enforce a no-signature thing (only the {{User}} template) on all Featured article votes page, every time I look at the Luigi nomination, I get a headache from all the different signatures. Marioguy1 (talk)

Thanks for the ideas, why don't you vote on my proposal? Anyhow, I'm afraid that I will have to bug you with another question; Why can't I move pages? I've tried moving, I've tried Special:MovePage but it says: You must be an established registered user and logged in to move a page.

On... what? The Welcome template? No, that's too minor for a proposal: just ask a few Sysops for their opinions. You've got my approval; just check with two or three more, give it a week or so to sit on the talk page, and then make the change if nobody's expressed negativity about it. - Walkazo
