How To Tag For Deletion[edit]

{{delete}} is how. You can also do {{delete|supply reason here}} if the tag by itself isn't good enough. I fixed File:Mario bucket.jpg and File:Mario+ amp +Wario+Mario+Plush+with+Bucket.jpg. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:49, 28 January 2016 (EST)

It seems as though Henry Tucayo Clay (talk) deleted your duplicate and moved your image to File:Mario Plush with Bucket.jpg. He hopes the image gets used somewhere soon. MarioWiki:Deletion policy states the image needs to be used within 24-hours before it is eligible for deletion. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:07, 28 January 2016 (EST)
Actually, I meant both are duplicates of the file Marioandwarioplush.jpg, which is used here, so that file isn't actually necessary.
If you want to know how to change the file name, just click move. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:51, 29 January 2016 (EST)

Courtesy[edit]

Please stop edit sniping on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You probably didn't know but doing what someone else is doing is against policy without asking them first. I saw you were adding the 160px for files when I was doing it for Donkey Kong Land, Donkey Kong Land 2, and Donkey Kong Land III. The three pages you edited:

You are not in trouble. Just a friendly reminder. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:10, 8 April 2017 (EDT)

Oh, ok. I didn't know that doing that was against policy, so thanks for letting me know!

Is this reminder deserved? I thought users were given an informal reminder for their first courtesy violation, not an official one.

Yeah, I just checked the courtesy page and it's true. A reminder or warning should not have been issued, since it was the first time doing it and the user didn't even know he/she was doing it. If you think you got this reminder unfairly, then you have the option to appeal it. Just follow the instructions on the page and if the admins think you don't deserve the reminder at all, it will be removed. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 22:40, 8 April 2017 (EDT)
I don't even know anymore. Every time I try this, it gets tried at appeals. I thought that {{reminder}} isn't as severe as {{warning}} or {{lastwarn}}. I would think that a {{reminder}} wouldn't cause questioning. I can understand if I gave {{warning}} or {{lastwarn}} for this first time offense. To me, questioning something that should be considered something that "went easy on them" before the higher level behavioral templates get deployed just doesn't make sense to me. Keep in mind that courtesy is considered a rule and any rule breaking is subject to issuing behavioral templates at the discretion of the issuer. In my case, I chose the lowest you can go. I tried to follow the warning policy as best as I could. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:05, 9 April 2017 (EDT)
Generally, with courtesy, it's best that an informal reminder (i.e. just telling someone they've done something wrong) is given, especially as most users don't know it off heart (even I need to check it from time to time). Reminders aren't as higher level, but they're still an official warning template. At the end of the day, I wouldn't say this is worth appealing, as technically rules were broken, and it's not our most severe warning. But in future, it's best to tell someone they're doing, or they've done something wrong, before issuing a template, and if they continue then start giving them reminders and whatnot. Yoshi876 (talk)

Revamped Merchandise Categories[edit]

Just to let you know, your merch uploads weren't quite categorized correctly. I revamped Category:Images by merchandise and now Category:K'NEX Images is a thing because of K'NEX. For true miscellaneous merchandise (no definitive article), use Category:Merchandise Images (it should be Category:Miscellaneous Merchandise Images but I haven't gotten around to moving the category and changing the image categorizations yet). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 11:33, 26 November 2017 (EST)

Ok, sounds good- it’s been a while since I last edited here so I’m probably a bit fuzzy on how image categorization works. I’ll keep it in mind in the future when I upload other merch pics. Thanks!Egadd.gifTheDisneyGamer 13:04, 26 November 2017 (EST)

Images about merchandise should have Category:Merchandise Images, not Category:Merchandise. The latter is a category for the different types of merchandises, not the images. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 16:54, 3 December 2018 (EST)

Good to know. Thanks for correcting me! Egadd.gifTheDisneyGamer 16:55, 3 December 2018 (EST)

San-ei plushes[edit]

Good job with your latest edits, however when adding images of plushes made by San-ei, they go in the San-ei Co., Ltd. page, not the Gallery: Toys page. Thanks and have a good day! Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 17:19 December 2018 (EST)

Thanks for telling me. Is this page linked from List of Merchandise and/or Gallery:Toys or is it just a totally separate page? Egadd.gifTheDisneyGamer 08:41, 4 December 2018 (EST)
The San-ei Co., Ltd. page is separate, although the page is linked to Gallery:Toys in the phrase: Toys which contain some type of stuffing inside, most likely from synthetic materials. For a gallery of plushies from San-ei, see here. As for the List of merchandise page, the San-ei Co., Ltd. page is not referenced there.
