Conjectural Name

Hi, I was thinking about creating the article for the sled that Luigi rides in D-Boss: Chilly Ride, because right now we all seem to refer to it as the 'bomb-firing machine' or 'machine that launches bombs'. It appears to be a sled with a turret, so how about the Bomb Sled? It seems to be significant enough to have a picture of E. I would normally just try to delete the background, but that would get rid of the green aura around the Greenie as well, and even if I did successfully remove the background without deleting the aura, the aura would probably look outlined. Wario Land 4 naming conflicts.

I got the Wario Land 4's manual in my hands and let me tell you this is getting me in some naming conflicts this wiki is covering, by instance, what it's called Dash Attack in the manual it's actually what you have been calling the "S-Ram" and not Wario's standard attack which is never refered to as such (to prove that, I also checked Wario Land 3's manual to see if there could be any coincidence, but there wasn't), it is not even called a "Ram". Another issue comes with his Ground Pound, the manual calls it Smash Attack, similar to that of the SSB series (and also the case for Wario Land 3), and the S-Ground Pound is actually called Super Smash Attack. I don't really know waht should I do, given this facts, the names used in the wiki would be conjectures when an actual official name exists, perhaps with the ground pound there is no issue at all, a minor mention referring it to as Smash Attack could be done within the same article in the Wario Land section, but the Dash Attack is really a problem as there is a whole article that would need a radical change. We would be contradicting official material, and we would be calling it on a different way, I don't know if the Japanese guide says otherwise, but in my opinion, only one source must stay, so what do you say?

Unofficial e-World levels names

Hi ! Thank you for moving the Toride o Kakenukero!! page.

From what I understand, a hacked rom of Super Mario Advance 4 used unofficial translations. Because of that, some people move the levels articles to the unofficial english name, and that's againt our policy.

But why don't we keep the redirects? I think some people know the levels under those unofficial names, and I think a few redirects won't hurt anybody. Is our policy against unofficial content on redirects? I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

P.S.: There is no Trivia section on the Goombario article anymore, you should strike this in the Shroom's Spotlight forum thread :)

Shroom Spotlight

If I can, I'd like to suggest that the Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island level pages be the spotlight for the next issue of The Shroom, as most are written quite badly, in my opinion, and one sounds like a dramatic novel, in fact if it was extended it could probably be published as one. Uploads

I've got a small problem. Whenever I upload a new version of a file, the file page still shows the old version for all of the previews and image links (however, the upload has been recognized in the file history, so I'm sure it might just be me :/). BTW, I also managed to find a suitable item sprite for the Red Essence, as well as a bunch of other official item sprites from here: [1]. Should I upload some of these too?

I'd say I'm done. My only worry is some of the logos/boxarts, but because they do slightly day what it is I kept them. The credit scenes could be renamed to credit scene 1, 2, 3 etc rather than just C 01, 02, 03 etc, but I think the file names are good enough. Yoshi876 (talk)

Koopa Artwork

Yep. I made all of them myself. I just used The Koopalings SMW poses and Bowser's one pose for references to the original artwork within the playfield and used the SMB3 wands for attachments. :) This should help out with the Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World pinball article.

Hello. In some areas in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, there are things called area maps that show the whole area layout and where the bros currently are. Staff activity

Hey YoshiKong, I have a question: I noticed there's not much staff activity as I would've thought upon coming back around May. What I mean by that is that I don't think too many users or the staff in general pay attention to the wiki collaboration threads or wanted to stop by and chat for a fair bit. I made replies to a couple of threads but no response, just like the Mario Party series info relocation collab I had to do myself. The reason is because I wanted those threads archived when they're done. Am I missing something from the picture or am I just imagining things? Hello again YoshiKong! I finished my Goal Ring article about 6 hours ago, and my next project will be coming up shortly. I thank you a bunch for the Goal Ring image, and now I need another favor. I will be creating a new article called New Super Mario Bros. (series), and it's going to be set up like any other "(series)" article. What I need you to do is to get the logo all by itself from the image below.

The picture is not urgently needed at the moment, but I hope to have it in a week or two. By the way, this is going to be a long project, so if you could inform some of your friends that know a lot about the New Super Mario Bros. series that I will be creating this article soon, I would deeply appreciate it. I mean the MarioWiki could create separate articles for the New Super Mario Bros. series, or the Super Mario Galaxy series. Just because it's Super Mario doesn't mean it goes with all the other games that say "Super Mario". I mean there is Super Mario Kart and Super Mario Sluggers, and I bet a bunch more. It didn't result in upload warnings for any of them that I did, though. And the space that I changed them to was how the official art was. You cropping it to the nearest pixel also causes certain artworks to appear wonky, such as the Mario Sports Mix art of Peach and Daisy. Goal Ring Images

Regarding the revert

The revert on the image is a pixel-perfect resize, not looking different in any way, and is more visible then older said image. If users are still complaining about the revert, make a new image named BIGinvincibleL instead, and post a link on the page of InvincibleL leading to the bigger image. Hey, man, sorry, let me explain those. You see how the one's before them have really white contrasts? To the point the black outlines are rather gray? It's notihng about file size, if you'd like I can reduce that somehow without affecting quality much, but I actually thought you'd like the fixes? Really it was just about level correcting the image. Reverting

If you want to revert the princess s and Wario ones, I suppose you can if you want. I'm not just honking my own horn to say I know a thing or two about how such artworks should look when doing level correcting, and even good prints can be a bad scan or even a bad print in the first place, but if you think that go ahead. What the model looks like when you take a screen like that, obviously as you can see with the imperfections aside from the colors, are not consistent. Ripping models like that, as can be seen there, comes with flaws. And the changes made to the Mario Party artwork is needed. If you look at her model, her correctly ripped, art from the game, and even her appearance in the group shot, as well as other clear model examples like those from Mario Kart Wii just as example, her colors in this artwork are ever so off, and require fixing.

It almost seems like you're just trying to control all the images on this wiki so that 're the uploader of everything? I don't even need credit here. This is just what she actually looks like. TomBoy (talk) 04:47, 30 August 2013 (EDT)

Licensing Stuff

I don't know if this applies to images, though. This text may be redistributed or adapted by the general public for any use as long as it is released under a similar license and the contributing authors are attributed. < If I'm not mistaken, this is referring to text. I could be wrong or leaving stuff out though, but something about asking credit for something extracted from a scan or ISO doesn't sound right. I'm sorry; legal issues and those other convoluted things are way off my radar, so it would be nice if I was informed so I don't make more mistakes in the future.
